Person of Interest likely canceled after this season, J.J. Abrams says http://www.ew.com/article/2016/01/09/person-interest-final-season -watch Jim Caveazel's scintillating interview-
Show's had a very good run but it's time to wrap things up before it declines even further. Hopefully it will kick up a notch with the finish line in view.
Not only did they cancel the show, they are burning through the final season REALLY quickly, it's airing twice a week and this week it'll air 3 episodes. They must really want it over.
I noticed that yesterday also. The show likely had a contract and decided to finish up on slots cancelled by other shows. Its a shame the show was brought down to this level.
Yeah, they're breezing through. I hope they don't make it super cheesy. If they really want to make the original machine win (which I'm sure they do), I desperately hope it's done realistically. Because as of right now, I can't see a single way that Samaritan actually loses.
Im glad they are airing 2 shows a week (3 next week). As good as binge watching. POI is still better than 99% of the show of TV. The episodes that have aired so far have been great.
I didn't really get the "we all die alone" tag line or the "we really only know ourselves in our last moments" point. But I always fail at intellectual interpretation. I was pretty satisfied with the dueling concepts of benevolent omnipotence though, whether the point is the success of the species or the free will of the individual, sort of like, Samaritan is the Statist and The machine is the libertarian. Both sides can be rational depending on your point of view. I do wish I had kept a total count on how many henchmen in black combat gear had been killed or shot in the leg over the years. I kept wondering just where they keep coming up with those hundreds of guys that are willing to run into fatal shootouts for money. How much would they have to pay for that? (though of course money was no object for the machines)
