I hate it when there are too many episodes in a season. 22 episodes? And no filler? I'm skeptical... Hopefully I won't be disappointed.
Thanks! I definitely missed that one. I was trying to recall the deal w/ that woman and Reese last night.

The show is amazing and the latest episode was really good. I was always worried about them running into the problem of repetition but they have avoided that completely. Can't wait to see how the season ends.
(mini-bump) Did anyone see last nights season finale? Spoiler It seemed a little lackluster to me, it was no where near as good as last season's finale. Still good, but not like last year. I give it a 6.5/10 as far as finales go.
Just got a chance to watch the season finale. I agree with your assessment on that primtim24. POI is a fantastic show! My two favorite shows on TV right now are JUSTIFIED and PERSON OF INTEREST. It's not even close after that. I agree that POI has no filler. Great every week. The formula they have for the show is great. Each week is its own episode, but they still manage to squeeze in larger arch elements so it is the best of both worlds. And the larger arch elements move along, they don't drag. Another thing I like are the characters. They continue to add them and they weave in and out of the story. Sometimes they are gone for good and sometimes they pop back up. Really ads for variety. The shows is also pretty smart. No show is full proof, but this is one of those shows where the characters tend to do the smart things instead of the dumb things. Refreshing. The show gets top 10 ratings so I see it being around for a while. Look forward to next season!
I'm not a fan of the lead character. The one without the glasses. I hate his monotone voice and his bland acting. He has no other facial expression other than his boring ass plain face.
I get a little lost in which faction is which and I watch pretty intently. The finale did lack one thing:
I disagree with the finale. It was important for the growth of the show. Spoiler The Machine is now has autonomy. No one knows where it is and cannot be corrupted by outside influences right now. It is still following its base programming for now (generating numbers ) but will it grow? Will it be able to rewrite its programming so data is not wiped EVERY day? The Machine found a way to keep the memory with the shell company full of data entry people. Will the Machine become "Skynet"-like?
No I agree: Spoiler that it was good for the show, but compared to last seasons finale, there wasn't the "big reveal like you almost expected.
There is no shortage of shows with character who overact their parts. Reece is a special operative. He's cold and calculated and plays his part well, unlike Root, a computer savant, who's acting fits more in line with a whiny wife in Housewives of Atlanta. The show casts well. If you need some pseudosmart show with obnoxious characters, I might suggest The Big Bang Theory.
Im not sure if its good for the show. It takes the plot to a whole new level. If done right, it can be really good. It seems it was done to prevent the show from becoming dull and repetitive. If it becomes too complicated, then the show can start filling up with gaping plot holes that doesn't make sense. As long as the creators know when their show's time is up and don't drag it out for a few more seasons past its time, it will always be at the top of my list.
Jack Bauer does cold and calculated infinitely better. They should have cast someone like Tom Sawyer from Lost. Or Ned Stark from GOT.
Regarding the finale.. Spoiler I am really getting tired of Root. I wish Shaw would have shot her in the head and ended that story line. Absolutely HATE her voice and $hit eating grin. So, to see how that episode ended really left me a bit cold. Hey, they knocked off Reese's old partner (with one of the best plot developments of the series) which was fantastic so there is hope that Root's demise isn't too far behind. That aside... Dubious, I agree on Zoe. LOVE the chemistry she has with Reese. More please. Also, I think Caviezel nails his Reese character. I personally like his cold and machine like manor. Refreshing. You know with him, he means business.
So how goes it for the new season? Spoiler It seems as if there are a number of sub-plots brewing. I saw someone mention it before, but I am getting really sick of Root. They obviously feel she needs to be there for the show, but she needs to go already.
