Kissing the cop in Alabama was hilarious. FX has become my favorite network... It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Sons of Anarchy Louie These are 3 of the best shows on tv.
great show. Just love how he they do a balancing act of emotions. Sometimes you just feel sorry for him and it can get real depressing. Then you're laughing your ass off.
Oh, and he is doing a show at Verizon center Nov 18th. Tosh in October and Louie in Nov....i can't wait.
The scene where he was calling his mom out on her bull**** at the restaurant was extremely cathartic for me. My wife and I were watching it and she told me the next day that during that scene she was very uncomfortable. Then she looks over at me and I have this twisted grin on my face. She just thought "let him have this. he obviously needs it."
mine too...and when he starts crying...I laughed my arse off...I too agree its hit or miss, and random, but that's the point...
Best part was when the girl runs away and jumps into a helicopter to get as far from him as possible. Friggin' hilarious.
The airport lube scene is absolutely brilliant. I also enjoyed the scene in the airplane where they're all about to die, and then it just randomly cuts to where they're getting out of the plane and everything is fine. His awkwardness in all situations is classic. I saw his stand-up at the Improv a few months ago, and it was one of the funniest acts I've ever seen. His "Everything is great!" rant has to be one of the top 5 greatest comedic rants ever.
"No. I don't smoke mar1juana, right now. In front of you" "yeah I'm gonna go ahead and take Bear" Best episode so far.
watched an episode or two and thought the same thing, but i'd give it another try if it's available on demand
That was two weeks ago. For some reason Louie and Rescue Me were blacked out in Austin last week, neither episodes are on "on demand" or Hulu. Are you experiencing the same thing in Houston? I've seen every episode of both shows, I'm a little irritated.
The recent episode where the kid makes Louis ask him not to kick is a$$ .. that was just uncomfortable and difficult to watch. I've liked many episodes so far, but this one was just a downer and wasn't very funny.
The episode last week was pretty weak IMO. Stephen Root cameo was decent. Just wasn't an awesome as the previous one. Its called "Dentist; Tarese." They are reairing it tonight at 10:30 right after the newest episode which is going to be about "God". I have it on my DVR... they black it out? How is that even possible?
That is really the point, everything in life is ****ty for him and always will be. I think it is pretty interesting how he's presenting reality raw and uncut, in its purest form. Then all of the sudden something ridiculous and surreal can happen.
Yeah, it had the new show in the info bar, but as soon as rescue me started FX was blacked out the rest of the night. Hulu has every episode of Louie except the last one. I thought if it happened everywhere, FX might play them again this week, but if you guys got it, I guess it was just an Austin thing. Bull****.
Excellent episode. I know you said you didn't like the dentist episode, I thought the banana bit was pretty funny. I think Gervais is doing Curb this season, too. Should be good.
Saw the first couple of episodes and quite enjoy it.. It reminds me of Seinfeld which I think was a better show because in Seinfeld his material didn't overshadow the show and it kind of created a real life situation as the comedy act itself whereas in Louie I felt his stand up material was stronger than the sum of the show and it wasn't as funny as his stand up... Maybe because in Seinfeld it had more characters work with...
