Yeah, it was soap opera decent. Lot of it completely unrealistic regarding oil companies and roughnecks but worth a watch if you don’t take it seriously

Poor Tayler, now he owns a 20M ranch and more:

    Sicario
    Hell or High Water
    Wind River
    [Yellowstones x4]
    Mayor of Kingstown
    Landman

    He's batting about .500

    LOL

You're that guy who said that said "Castle" was just as good as "The Wire"

    Don't deny it.

Tulsa King is a stupid fun show, though, I'll give you that.

Haven’t seen it yet but I am like one of 4 people who thinks Yellowstone is garbage. I watched season 1 and 2…. So over the top, and unrealistic that it takes you out of the show too much to enjoy. I think if it was condensed to a movie it could have been decent, but I don’t know how people suspend reality enough to enjoy it.

As for Landman, I do think it has served the far right to give them talking points likely unintentionally. I’ve heard so many people repeat that Billy Bob viral rant that I lost count.

Yes Taylor Sheridan is making a compelling character and world building that is likely accurate and important to explore. That being said too many people don’t understand that just because that character is showing conviction to what they believe, that the intent of the creator is to make a point that this character is righteous and a true protagonist.

Case in point- Fight Club. Tyler Durden is the antagonist people. He’s a cult leader for a terrorist organization that gets people killed, and creates delusional fake victories. The buildings they blow up will not erase the debt owed by people and the director tells us that by using the adult film frame slice technique to hit us on the nose with that fact. Yet people still can’t get a hint and are actually inspired by Tyler Durden.

Here with Landman even without seeing the show, I’m sure he’s not the protagonist or at least is more Grey than Black or White. Yet I hear all the time how people are taking his conviction as A FICTITIOUS character and using his propaganda and using it as their own.

Fyi Sicario is one of my favorite films… and obviously misunderstood by the same audience who probably quotes Landman.
