Anyone else watching Taylor Sheridan's BBob Thornton show? Landman. It is about the Oil and Gas industry in Texas around the Permian Basin. I binged all 10 episodes yesterday - Holy cow it was awesome. DD
Good to hear. I was waiting for the season to finish so I could watch at my leisure. I think Billy Bob Thornton is great and Taylor Sheridan hits more than he misses. This is now second on my list behind Night Agent S2.
Yeah, I just started watching it too! The show really pulls you in with the whole oil and gas stuff, especially with how it ties into Texas. It's intense! Glad to hear you liked it. Gonna keep watching for sure.
I watched.it, i enjoyed it, but I felt really guilty enjoying it. All the dude have big swinging dicks, and swing them around at every opportunity. All the women either need a man to help them, or they need a man to keep them under control - all the women only exist as extensions of men. It was emotional junk food for the male ego.
After the first two episodes, my main problem is the 27 year-old woman attempting to play a 17 year-old ditzy high schooler. It flat out doesn't work for me. I know watching TV is all about suspending disbelief, but in her case, it's a total joke that doesn't fit. Part of the problem might be I watched 1923 and she is a part of the ever-growing group of actors Taylor Sheridan recycles for his various shows.
Lol. Boy you have been conditioned. No need to feel guilty. I don’t catch a case a cultural appropriation when watching Indiana Jones. It’s gonna be okay.
Just admit that it's a whiskey tango soap opera and then sit back and enjoy it. Just like Yellowstone. Huh...wonder what they have in common?
"Guilty" like I feel enjoying other trash TV - like I would feel if I somehow found myself enjoying Real Housewives, or Blue Bloods or other lowest common denominator trash TV. Objectively, the story was very simple and all the characters were simple. Like watching primtime network shows, but with some t*** and blood. I guess its a sign of the world that its perfectly reasonable you thought something else. If you enjoy Big 3 network primetime TV, you'll probably enjoy. Edit: Admitedly, now that I re-read the original post I could have been more clear.
I have an aunt who looooves the show The Rookie, so I've ended up watching a few episodes while hanging out with her...it is quite possibly the dumbest police procedural I've ever seen
Dam....I knew I recognized her but could not remember from where, she has aged WELL. The scene where she gets the old folks drunk is awesome
