Forgot to mention. I honestly don't need that extra $5 for basic tv + HBO. I mainly use Netflix and other streaming services.
Get a Hulu Plus subscription on ebay for like $25. I did it even though I was a bit skeptical but it worked. They mail you the code since it's against ebay policy to actually email you the code. You should look into ballstreams, it's worth the $60 a year alone. Screw watching basketball through those **** streams
****, that's awesome Scionxa! Thanks! I'm might try giving Ballstreams a try......if I sign up for it, can I be able to share my account with other people?
Only one person can be signed in on ballstreams at a time. Otherwise, it logs one person out. So if you and someone else wants to watch a rockets game live, it will log one of you out. If the person you are sharing it with won't be watching at the same time as you, it can work.
My friend is a Cavs fan.....so if I want to watch the Rockets, he won't be able to watch the Cavs, correct? Or can he since it's a different feed?
UVerse is great if you can get a good price. I'm just sick of paying $160 for cable TV and internet. It's silly. There's no competition in this sector and prices just keep going up.
It's the UVerse 200. So the usual (ESPN,CNN,Bravo,TNT,TBS,Comedy Central) plus NFL network and Root Sports. I'm thinking of just dropping the cable TV altogether and just stick with Netflix and SlingTV whenever that comes out. Screw it, I can spend my time on better things than watching TV so much.
If the games are at different times/days it'll work. If the games are on at the same time, it'll log one of you out even though it's a different feed. Basically, if both of you are logged in at the same time, it won't work.
Finally got rid of Dish over the holiday and got Direct TV. Watched my first local Rockets broadcast in over 2 years on Monday night. I was so happy to hear Bill and Matt again, I didn't even care that we lost. So far, I'm loving DTV. Dish's DVRs were a joke. I may as well have been using a VCR this whole time. I'm sure I'll lose the cable eventually, but I'm not ready yet.
Congrats. Plus you get to enjoy the best HD quality in town too. (With the exception of the few who can get Verizon FIOS)
