Wow, just wow. Amazing how much is going on out there in the world that these "news" networks never even touch on, or falsify for that matter. Anybody watch this show? Basically its a weekly 30 minute show that features 2 amazing stories per episode. Loved the piece on the ice melt in the Greenlands and the toxic waste in Iraq from uranium containing US weapons.
This show is awesome. They did story about the waste in afghanistan. It was interesting story in that the US build a power plant that is being unused, because it costs too much money to operate. It was cheaper to import the power from its neighbors.
Great TV show, magazine, and YouTube channel. The HBO episodes are different and with better production values (duh), but the YT videos are more eclectic in scope. I've ran into Suroosh, one of its co-founders, several times through a mutual friend. I'm a big fan of VICE.
It's a great show. I posted about it here last year, but there wasn't too much interest. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=235281
People don't like brutal truth. I enjoy the youtube episodes. Especially where the skinny hipster is drinking dirty moonshine with the people in Uganda.
I love the show, and watch it weekly... but a lot of the "reporting" is more about catching the sensational than the facts.
That whole episode is wild. What's crazy is that a year before I watched it, my mom told me about that same drug being on the streets of Vietnam.

The vice guy is also regularly on the Rogan podcast and he's usually wasted so, some good inside info on there.
Agreed. I just wanted to point out that those saying "Vice does the hard hitting stories!" are just fooling themselves. They do the stories that will garner them the most attention and make them the "bad boys" of modern journalism. They are still in it for both the fame, and the money. That doesn't make their style any less enjoyable though - just thin on both facts and contrasting opinions and stances.
