Yea she brings the show down tremendously. As others have mentioned before she is a textbook over actor. My wife isn't a huge Star Wars fan but she watched the first 2 episodes with me and at the end she even said her character was annoying and a reach. I think the first 2 were decent. I have hope it'll pick up from here though. After getting Ewan Mcgregor and Hayden Christensen back in the fold after all these years, I doubt Disney will screw the pooch. But idk we'll see...
I think the kid in the show is very likeable and pretty decent for a child actor, but don't make scenes that emphasize her hobbit legs. The action scenes in the show are just so weirdly shot and edited.
Yep. Let's hope Hayden has stepped up his acting chops as well. He was actually alright in Jumper from what i remembered. George Lucas lack of actor directing and his green screens are largely to blame for poor performances all around in the prequels, with Ewan being the only bright spot. Acting in "the volume" should be a different world compared to working on the prequels for Hayden. Also the dialogue was so incredibly bad, even Daniel Day Lewis couldn't have delivered those lines.
I liken shaky cam to amateur hour and quick cuts should be an automatic death sentence. Obvious when a drone took the scene and when the director chose a cameraman with parkinsons and a camera with no anti-shake. It's shaky...oooohhh so gritty and immersive! I hear poop is gritty too.
This kind of nonsense ruins shows for me - the lack of creativity is just so lazy... let A24 make a Star Wars movie.
Yeah that parkour scene big filler. It's okay to 2x the dark jedi running. She's not a mutant on wires
He acted pretty well in Episode 3 given the circumstances, except for the terrible George Lucas lines that made everyone seem amateurish. His facial reactions and gestures really showed the internal conflict and fall to the dark side imo.
anthony from chili peppers will show up on leias 14th birthday. “The next day we drove to Baton Rouge, and of course, she came with us. After we got offstage, she came up to me and said, ‘I have something to tell you. My father’s the chief of police and the entire state of Louisiana is looking for me because I’ve gone missing. Oh, and besides that, I’m only fourteen.’ I wasn’t incredibly scared, because, in my somewhat deluded mind, I knew that if she told the chief of police she was in love with me, he wasn’t going to have me taken out to a field and shot, but I did want to get her the hell back home right away. So we had sex one more time.” https://rockcelebrities.net/when-an...derage-girl-and-incited-a-big-police-manhunt/
Ultimately the Obi-Wan Vader angle is what I signed up for. For the most part, everything except Ewan McGregor has been done poorly in these first 2 episodes, but it did make a believable reason for Obi Wan to come out of hiding. It certainly hasn't been Bob Fett awful, but not good either. Once we get into the meat and potatoes of why I'm here is where the real judgement will be.
I learned my lesson after Boba Fat and will wait for the entire season to be over and then read the overall reviews to see if anything is worth watching. I could have skipped episodes 1-4 of Boba Fat and started on episode 5 and not missed a thing of importance.
1. Reva is annoying me. I don't buy it. From my expectations of Sith . .. they would not brook such disobience one much less multiple times. Unless she is under the personal protection of the Emperor or Vader. .. she should have been toast much sooner. Esp if she is the "least" of them. 2. baby Leia is annoying entitle brat thing . . . .people find that isht cute and endearing .. . I don't. . . .Well fine princess . .. just die then!!! Rocket River
Both very true. All of the chase scenes with baby Leia were just ridiculously bad. Killing off the head inquisitor guy was a huge mistake. He had total badass villian potential.
nevermind the way they killed him. just like the snook guy or whatever in one of the recent movies. surprise most powerful guy/s in galaxy i pressed my lightsaber button and you never saw it coming!
