There's a free preview of MLB EI going on right now. It started last night and will continue for a week, I think.
DISCLAIMER: I know I've said I will have a limit of one TWSS per page... per thread... so I will not do this... WAIT... what, this is in another page? Sweet! That's what SHE said!
I've been with Direct TV for several years now. I'm happy with it. The only thing I'm bummed about is that I can't take advantage of this deal for new customers.
Call them and tell them you are switching to Dish Network if they don't give you some sort of deal as a loyal customer. You might find they will give you a new customer type deal to keep you from leaving.
I'd been reading rumors that DirecTV was going to offer a standalone RedZone channel this year, but nothing official has come out yet. I'm in the same boat as you, I've had NFLST for the last 5 or so years but I no longer think it is worth it, even with the $20 off for 6 months deal that they give everyone that asks. I'm going to try calling right now and see if I can get the RedZone channel. Or I might just wait until August to call. Every August they offer new customers the "Free premier package for 6 months if you buy NFLST" deal. A lot of times existing customers are able to get that deal if they call in and ask. I was able to get it 2 years ago when I called the day the season started.
I just called DirecTV to cancel my Sunday Ticket renewal and I was able to get this same deal. They offered me half off of Sunday Ticket, but I told them I just couldn't justify the cost since the only thing I really watch is RedZone. I asked him about RedZone but initially he said it is only offered with a Sunday Ticket subscription. Eventually I had to tell him that I heard they were offering RedZone only this year for select customers, and I wanted to see if I could get it. He put me on hold for a while but eventually came back on and gave it to me. Sweet.
well, at my household we don't have DVR, additionally, we only have digital cable on one tv, and the rest are analog tvs that get basic cable because it's free. If we were to switch to satellite or uverse, we'd pretty much have to pay to rent multiple boxes, which really drive the price up.
How is this a better deal then DISH Networks? $24.99 a month, with $6 for DVR service. Free HD for life. Free local channels.
Is this is a Houston thing only? Can this be done in California? I'm shopping around, let me know *edit* Email me through the board, thanks http://bbs.clutchfans.net/member.php?u=10896
Yea let me know too, I am about to switch to DirecTV soon, in the next month or less. Does anyone if DirecTV is the only satellite provider with NBALP?
I don't think DirectTV is the only one with league pass, but it does have league pass. That's for sure.
I had this installed last week. Pretty happy with the deal I got (thanks justtxyank). My roommates and I like the whole home DVR feature as we can watch our shows anywhere in the house.
Curious about adding you as a referral, or being someone else's referral. How is it claimed? I didn't see anything when I signed up. Don't get my stuff set up till I move in 9 days.
Just give them a call with your referral's account number. Both of you will get $100 off ($10 for 10 months). Be careful, though. All your friends will turn into Benjamin Franklin. If you want to use my account number for a referral just e-mail me at opel_insignia@yahoo.com and we can set things up.
Anyone here uses me as a referral, I'll send them a $25 check (or paypal) once the referral hits my account. Email me at xerobull @ gmail.com
