Conan's show will not air on Fridays I believe, I think it is just Monday-Thursday. And Will Ferrell will be on soon, he seems to make a lot of appearances on Conan's show. It seems like there are a few really good guests (Tom Hanks, Ferrell, etc) that Conan is good friends with and they come on a lot.

It's cool I just watch them when Conan is over. God knows I wouldn't spend anymore time on TBS to watch Lopez's terrible monologue and ghastly horrific set for his show. I think I'd rather watch re-runs Magic Johnson late night show The Magic Hour......

Since I've been watching Conan since I was ten, I do consider myself a die-hard fan. I would set my alarm and wake up just to see his show. I was happy when they started showing it at 12:37, but I digress.

The simply fact is that if your watching Conan for the guests then you won't understand. The reason he has kept a cult following is the comedic performance he has poking fun at his guests and himself. He could have an extra from Saved By the Bell....The College Years and still make it funny. You want high profile, watch Leno.

    ..was talking about stu-beef/colbert reruns.

I'd literally rather suck a d**k than watch george lopez.

Yeah, I'd just probably just watch the TV show, if forced to choose between one or the other. As someone in the presence of the former a couple of times daily if she's on her day off, I can't imagine watching the Lopez show would better than having to do what I appreciate but, still, feel sorry for.

I've been a Conan obsessive since 1993. I started taping his show (and, sadly, taping over his show tape other shows of his) soon after. I wrote about him in the high school paper. My first little college party, a few weeks into my freshman year of college, was based around his 5th anniversary show. I've become friends with Jimmy Vivino. I'm a freak.

And I'm having so, so much fun, with this guy back on air. It's good to have someone that gets it, articulating it.

I just watched the jack white performance on team coco website.. is max weinberg not in the show anymore? he was such a familiar face there. Weird he's not with the show anymore. plus I don't like the new set either, it does look cheap.

For those wondering if him being on TBS is a bad thing...well basic cable is a pretty common thing nowadays. In fact I haven't met a person in a long time that does not have it. The ratings for his first show were good, they will drop but it should still be a good number.

I'm glad Conan is back, the only time I did not watch was when NBA season rolled around, since there are late games and such and would rather watch those...but thanks to TBS they re-air it later so problem solved.

Max Weinberg had some serious health problems. I forget what they were but were life threatening from what I recall. I think he wanted to return but he couldn't handle it given that.

That was an awesome interview. Jack McBrayer is hilarious. His best work isn't on 30 Rock though, but in his improv, and earlier bit roles on Conan when Conan was in NY.

Anyway the interview with him was great.

The show last night was awesome. Great second show.

Thanks for posting that. I hadn't seen a Mattress Mack and Hilton commercial in years.

Is Conan pulling a Howard Stern by not doing a show on Friday?

I think TBS premieres their weekend movie on Friday night. Then they show it 18 times over the weekend.

But my guess is they get decent ratings for the showing on Friday night and didn't want to mess with that.

I've enjoyed the first two shows.

Conan had expectations working against him in his debut shows. He has put on two solid, funny shows, but when you have been off of tv for months and your situation was as high profile as his was, there are going to be heightened expectations. I have personally been pleased with the quality, but I can at least understand people saying that they were disappointed.

Charlyne Yi was absolutely hilarious... the "Coyote Song" was classic. Great interview.
