Seems to me that 30 Rock and Community are similar types of comedies and Parks & The Office are similar. I mean, the Community episode was funny, but I'm not sure about award-winning or A+. I had more laughs at the Parks telethon episode- though the Chang entrance and the bomb was hilarious.

Question about the previous episode, with the high school kids - do kids really talk like that now, or were they referencing something else?

My favorite quote from last night was subtle, yet hilarious.

    "Chess Club?"

    "No, he's just a pawn"

I hope not, because it was so annoying I couldn't even watch the show.

Does anyone know where I can watch a streamed episode? I missed the show last night.

I think this episode will have a good shot in the directing category. Best chance for the show to land an Emmy.

And I'm absolutely convinced that if Danny Pudi (Abed) can sneak onto the ballot for supporting, he's got a chance to win if they submit the the P.E. episode (Don Draper, Vampire-Abed, Jeff-Abed, White-Abed for the win).

Just watched and it lived up to the hype. I need to go back and watch whatever is left on Hulu.

I think Troy getting shot first was another homage to the 'black guy dies first in action flicks' cliche. John Woo Chang was awesome.

I love these 'special' sitcom episodes with a particular theme. NewsRadio's Titanic and outer space episodes are some of my favorites.

And that suit was PERFECT. Straight out of a 90's HK gangster movie. Not to mention the toothpick. Chow Yun Fat would be proud.

They don't make em like they used to, thats for sure.

"Special scenario" episodes are always a way to endear the characters to the audience, which has made shows like Seinfeld, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Office, etc so popular.

Been watching this show since the Pilot aired. Thought that the last episode was funny but I tend to enjoy some of the regular episodes more than these big time parody ones.

Naw, that storyline was absolutely ridiculous, but they deserve a pass with the kind of quality stuff they've been putting out lately.

    Troy is so frikken funny.

For those who haven't seen it yet, heres some of his stuff before community. He was part of a comedy group called Derrick Comedy. I think ive seen the other members around too, though I cant remember exactly where.

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/MY4kFSuMvKM&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/MY4kFSuMvKM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

This video is tame, but a lot of their others are pretty offensive. (but hilarious)

I liked how they resolved the Spanish credit/Senor Chang storyline. It wouldn't make much sense for the study group to take Spanish for the entire series. And they needed some excuse to keep Ken Jeong around and making him a student is perfect. He can hang around the gang like Starburns or Leonard and the show isn't going to miss a beat.

    Finale was unexpected yet expected.

It's kinda gross how many chicks are in love with Jeff.
