I guess from a manager's standpoint on a closing project, steady costs beat rising ones. Harmon might have development deals or scripts for days which tempted him to stand firm on or even initiate new negotiations; to the extent Chase feels he needs to work for money or boredom (more likely?), he might not have anything lined up that would compel him to leverage or negotiate. Ironically enough just blindly guessing at $25k - $75k/episode on a multi-year contract, this might be the most lucrative thing Chase has ever done; like Brando in Superman.
The 8 bit episode was incredible, i don't know what you're talking about. Anyone who grew up in the NES era had to love that.
i don't know anything about old video games and i thought it was the best episode. although i freaking loved the a/c school plotline, reeeally didn't think i would...
So, some good news for Community fans. http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/30/showbiz/tv/community-premiere-date-ew/index.html?hpt=en_c1 Show is coming back Feb 7th, a Thursday, rather than a previously repoted Friday. Gives a little life for the show, since going from prime time to a Friday is pretty much a death sentence.
Guess I'm going to watch this clip everyday until February 7th. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7LV7M_WeGX8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Chevy Chase is done with Community... http://tv.yahoo.com/news/chevy-chase-leaving-nbc-community-221011399.html He'll still be in the majority of episodes for the upcoming season, but no more filming with him. Looks like this upcoming season will be the last - don't think we'll have a season 5
Yeah, I really don't expect a 5th season, although there's always hope. I love Chevy, but out of the main group, he's the 2nd most expendable after Sherly and I think the show would be just fine without him. Losing any of the others would be a much bigger loss. Chevy plays a kinda of antagonist in the show, and that void will be easily filled by Ken Jeong. I disagree with his comment in the article. Reality TV is the lowest form, not sitcoms, of television. But then again, I don't think there's really a 'highest form' of television... it's TV...
Genuinely disappointing on several counts. Honestly difficult to tell what an actor, particularly a comedic one, is genuinely comfortable or uncomfortable with in terms of content. Perhaps coming up in a collaborative actor/writer environment like S.N.L. combined with some other aspects of his personality to make him difficult. I honestly think everyone on the show had well enough regard for his stature and career that if he'd just understood that he wouldn't have been overly resentful and contentious.
Best buy has all 3 seasons of community for 10 each online with free shipping. That's less than 1 season at regular price.
I'd agree with that - Pierce is the most expendable, although we saw an episode in Season 1 of what happens to the group without Pierce around (Art of Discourse - they lose their escape goat ). Obviously the group has evolved though, and more screen time for Chang would work well. I don't claim to know much about Chevy Chase, but he seems like he's just a difficult person to work with - maybe a my way or the highway kind of personality. Honestly, I'm pretty comfortable with the show petering out to an end - we've seen the best it had to offer and the group can't stay in community college forever. It's probably not going to be the same without Dan Harmon anyway.
I liked Pearce and I think it'd be difficult to replace him. He's not useless like Shirley and he was pretty funny. I hope they are able to write him in, I mean why couldn't he just suck it up and stay for the last couple episodes so they can properly write him off? was it that bad? Nevertheless, I'll still watch, for the Brie, and Troy.
Chevy has a reputation as a horrible person. Good riddance. http://gawker.com/5899097/hes-not-chevy-hes-an-*******-a-history-of-chevy-chases-horrific-behavior
