The new 90210 will be a trainwreck, but I'll still watch. Not really a spoiler cause it's available on the net, but: Spoiler A family from Kansas (Lori Laughlin plays the mom) moves to Beverly Hills so the dad can take care of his former movie star mother (alcohol and drugs I'm sure will be involved). The dad also happens to be the new principal at West Beverly where their two children will attend. Kelly Taylor will play a counselor. Brenda Walsh will play a theatre arts teacher. Donna Martin will be a botique owner. Nat and the Peach Pit are back. One of the girls will have the last name Silver...is this David and Kelly's stepsister? Another girl will be the Hannah Zuckerman Vasquez - she will not look hispanic at all.
Jennie Garth looks better now in my opinion. I saw her on some Lifetime movie my girlfriend was watching where she was a teacher with AIDS. I'd stick her. I didn't know she was married to that Mike Dexter guy.
It would be hilarious if the show evolved to a continuation of BH 90210 and cut out storylines involving the new cast. Come on CW, bring back SBTB.
I'm a huge fan of the original 90210. In its prime, there wasn't a better show. Dylan drunk and coked up, Brandon tapping every piece of ass he could find, Ray throwing Donna down the stairs. It was just a great run. Unfortunately, without Aaron Spelling this show is doomed to fail. It looks like just another crappy high school show with a bunch of people who look and act the same. Kinda like what happened when the Real World stopped getting interesting people, and started casting the same characters over and over again. Looks like CW turned out a turd.
Season premiere is Sept. 2nd. The two minority kids are a black guy and a Persian Scientologist. Black females have still not made it to Beverly Hills.
As far as high school soap operas go. The only show I watch on the CW is Smallville (yes I like the show and I'm probably gonna get crap for it), but mainly because it's a Superhero show. I really want to see what happens next season with Lana and Lex gone from the show. I wonder where the show it going to go without two of the main characters Smallville has revolved around. Maybe they'll finally focus on the evolution of Clark Kent into Superman.
