http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-10925753 Got picked up for more episodes, this show is amazing. Is there any reason to watch the unaired pilot? Is it the same story as the Pink one? DD
New episodes start tonight <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7PhzRmUD4mI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Did anyone see the first episode of the new season tonight? I'd be interested to hear what anyone thought of it. I saw the first three on Netflix that a friend had on their Xbox 360. I noted some interesting titles listed for the new season - A Study in Pink? A. Conan Doyle must be spinning in his grave right now. : )
The new episode is called A Scandal in Belgravia. The show is still good, but they also made Holmes gay.
Haven;t seen it yet. You can watch it here though if you want: http://watchseries.eu/episode/sherlock_s2_e1-136194.html Just try different links until you find one that runs smooth I don't enjoy the Morietary character in this series. He seems immature. Besides that I love the show. UPDATE: Just finished the new episode and it seemed on par with the rest of series.
In the books, does he have romantic relationships with women? Is he really close to anyone other than Watson?
Other than Iren Adler, not really. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherlock_Holmes#Relationships_with_women
No, other than Irene Adler, there are no older adult relationships with females, if you could even term what they had as a relationship. I seem to vaguely remember reading somewhere that Holmes had an engagement when he was very young, that was broken off by the young lady in question, which was used to explain his general aversion of the female half of our species - but I must freely admit it's been years that I've read anything about him, and that engagement story might be one of the novels created in later years written by someone other than AC Doyle. I used to be a really big Holmes fan...never really got a gay vibe from him at all. If anything, he's more asexual..... Holmes more reminds me of the engineering students I knew in college, or the children of some friends that have Asperger's; I know an older adult male that has Asperger's also. Asperger's is essentially high functioning autism - where it's not uncommon to have higher IQ's, near obsessive interests and information - and information retention - about things that would probably not interest your average person, and a reduced ability to socialize/emotionally connect. Frankly, I've thought of him as being a high functioning autistic for years, privately.
Well, it stands to reason that they wouldn't say Bohemia now, seeing as how Bohemia hasn't existed for about a century. I'll have to check the other titles at another time to see if I recognize any other reworked titles.
