Spoiler She was using the relationship for her own gain. She was using their time together to sell tabloid stories about their relationship, which got her enough money to buy some land and a nice cottage.
not sure about that. The "Miss me" is dubbed over what looks like a completely different BBC show, or at least a different era. No one says it to the camera, and no one looks like Moriarty, even. Is he a time traveler? Or was that a shot from a different BBC show they are promoting after the credits.
Spoiler He says something about waiting for marriage in the hospital room as an excuse for not sleeping with Janine. He was wanted Magnussen to think he was a drug addict to get into Appledore. His reasoning was that Magnussen would be more willing to allow a drug addicted Sherlock into the vaults since it would be more difficult for people to believe a drug addict.
I like how, in the time it takes to go on CF, type your post and submit it, you could have just watched to the end of the credits.
Spoiler Right after the plane went into the air, the music cuing up the end credits sounded, but then we get Lestrade watching a soccer match on TV. Then the whole thing with Moriarty appearing on TV happens, and Sherlock gets phones by Myc to come back. THEN the real end credits begin, with the end credits announcer guy saying watch til the end. Then you get Moriarty saying 'Miss me?' which presumably is the end of the episode. The end music was another thing for the writers to troll us with, lol
You watched a glitchy copy...I got the same one and was wondering the same thing. Apparently, it was supposed to show this: Spoiler <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/JkczSypE6XY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Spoiler Gravity would be a way bigger factor if Sherlock had fallen forward though. If Sherlock was facedown, gravity would cause the blood to move faster out of the wound, and perhaps moved the bullet slightly, causing more blood to come out. And Sherlock wouldn't have hit anything, since it was clear that he knew what was behind him (the mirrors). And if he knew that, then he would have known his head wouldn't hit anything but carpet. But like Panda23 said, a suspension of disbelief is warranted in this particular scene.
Yeah, I saw all that. Apparently I d/l'd a glitchy copy that showed scenes from another BBC show. thx for the explanation.
It's on Netflix, worth a watch? Been looking for a new TV show after finishing Breaking Bad (which was brilliant by the way) .
I think the Moriarty video is just a ruse by Sherlock to get out of going into exile in Eastern Europe.
I think it was a ruse too, either he had an apprentice/partner/fanatic or something to keep the cause. There may have been holes to see how Sherlock faked his death with the bus and the biker but we saw Jim do it. And in the end none would be at all necessary if Jim hadn't successfully stage the framing by doing it.
Hold on. This doesn't jive. In s02e03 and the first show this season, much if it was about Moriarty playing the media to ruin Sherlock by making them believe he was an invented adversary to discredit Holmes. So, you're saying Sherlock would now actually do that? Reinvent a fictitious adversary? Even if it were to get out of exile. I mean, your idea does mean that Moriarty is dead. Plus, it's Moriarty who commands technology to pull of the simultaneous hacking of all TV broadcasts (with his "key code"). Sherlock is smart, but not known to be a technology hacking wizard.
Not to mention the whole "Miss Me?" at the end by the Actor is likely the writers/producers saying they took your favorite character away, but had a plan to bring him back. Unless that is a ruse by the producers as well. "No, fooled you, your favorite actor is not coming back."
While I think that would be incredibly clever, I wouldn't mind if Moriarty was brought back in. Andrew Scott was phenomenal playing him in that second season (which is still my favorite)
Whoa...btw...this thread is full of spoilers. We're talking about the show. Might not want to read much here.
Oops, I meant that maybe Jim orchestrated it or had plans in place with an apprentice or something. It's hard to get into detail without giving spoilers on the same page where someone is asking whether or not to get into the show. About S02E03 Spoiler As we all know Jim forces Sherlock to fake his death by shooting himself, which would frame Sherlock for both the murder and all the accusations that had been made that episode. I'd like to think Sherlock wouldn't fake his death unless his hand was forced and there was no other option. And there would be no other option unless Jim really died, because if he faked it too, there HAD to have been some other way out. BUT this season they are promoting the idea that Sherlock is a glutton for drama. I could see a scene in S04 where even though it was obvious to Sherlock that Jim didn't die, Sherlock admits he faked his own death because it felt more dramatic than other reasonable options. I thought we saw Jim shoot himself, so it's kind of annoying when they mess with what the audience thought were solid facts. But this already happened in Hounds so it won't be anything new.
