I would say this show is more like live action Boondocks than Chapelle Show. The one thing I hope is that people that aren't black GET the show instead of just laughing at all the n-words like with both of the other two shows. If not, I could see Glover quiting after 2 or 3 seasons because of the response.
"The price is on the can though" I had to watch this episode twice to really soak up everything that was in it. Favorite show going right now
Not black and I get it. But if you grew up in the wrong place or went to school in the wrong place you definitely don't.
Glover is a creative genius. Last episode was hilarious. I don't mind the lack of plot advancement as long as the show is still entertaining. That's all that I care about. I didn't like the episode with Van because I didn't think it was funny, and it also didn't advance the plot much.
Love this show so far. I'm still confused how paper boi literally shot dude in the face and he got a couple hours in jail. I thought that'd be a major part of the plot and they'd run with it and hopefully turn into a chain of events similar to breaking bad. That woulda been hella dope.
"They just not scared of me. Ni**as know I drink juice." I thought the highlight of the night was going to be Paper Boi roughing up the club promoter then slapping him with the stack of cash that was just given to him... Then we see the invisible car... Hilarious!
My mind was blown when someone told me that was an invisible car at the end. In real time I thought it was just a motorcycle.
I'm happy for Glover being cast as Lando and think its a perfect casting, but this means the next season of Atlanta will be DELAYED...so I don't know if it was worth it
Finally caught up. Damn this show is great. I figured it'd be good but this is way better than I was expecting.
I'd say this and crazy ex girlfriend are the two best comedies on tv right now. Is Atlanta considered in the comedy category though? Or do you think it's more dramedy? Please... discuss...
