Awesome show, really well done. Quality is OK. It's SD. Nothing horrible. I'll certainly watch it again when it premieres. Spoiler I didn't mind the end. What struck me is that the zombies were smarter than in the comics- the little girl picking up the stuffed animal, Morgan's zombie wife trying the doorknob. But I can forgive that stuff. It stuck pretty close to the comic and even gave a little more character to Morgan than his first appearance had in the comic. Good stuff. Can't wait for the rest of season one.
Spoiler Having not read the comics, I took it to indicate that the zombies retained some sort of memory (maybe just muscle memory or simple routine?): I assumed it was the girl's stuffed animal (or a similar one), and the wife had lived in that house prior to zombification.
Dead Set is playing on IFC this week. I just watched the first episode. Really Good. http://www.ifc.com/dead-set/?utm_so...erm=dead set ifc&utm_campaign=original series
Airs tonight! Don't forget to set your DVR! AMC appears to be showing it three times in a row, so you should be able to squeeze it into your DVR at some point. No HD- That blows.
I thought it was a pretty solid opener. No heavy zombie action really, but it's the first episode, and it does a good job of setting up the story.
I liked it. For an AMC series I thought it was pretty cliche from the Zombies to the relationships. Nothing was fresh or new. I'll keep up with it since it kept my attention for an hour thirty minutes. I thought the Horse was going to be a staple of the show. Sad to see it go. That would have been something different.
Awesome beginning, a Zombie movie/show with character development...WHAT A CONCEPT. I haven't read the graphic novel but for those who have, are they following it pretty closely?
If they continue to follow the comics (which is supposed to happen) you are watching about the only real 'cliched' part of the story. It really expands from here.
Hard to call it cliche when too my knowledge, it is the first ever tv show to attemp the zombie genre. That alone makes it innovative and unique. From the plot, not sure what u expected
