yes no source: Zombie Survival Guide in the Max Brooks world of zombies, there is a huge problem with zombies underwater.
Dude, that is a SUPER SPOILER- you should warn as such. In fact, I wouldn't even post it. Google is out there. Grimes is the main character in the series. His family is very important to him, as shown in the first few episodes. I think that's justification enough for Carl's existence. I don't think you can count on the ZSG for info on the TWD zombies. Different universe. ............ As for ep 3- great episode. I really liked Daryl's character. Very convincing redneck. As for why Meryl sawed his hand off - They showed Meryl losing his ****e on the rooftop. Rick threw his dope off of the roof. He was going through withdrawals and was crazy on top of that. There were Zombies coming for him. Sawing your hand off under those conditions are believable - he wasn't thinking right. Also: Spoiler That's the second Hand symbolism/foreshadowing they've shown in the show. The first was Rick's hand shaking after he punched Meryl. I only hope they don't stretch out the whole love triangle. I can only tolerate so much romantic drama in a show before it heads down chick flick lane for me, zombies or not. It was really touching when Rick saw his family.
i hear ya. but if you're asking me the question, i'm answering with the Zombie Survival Guide it's among the dorkiest things i've ever read, and i dislike myself a little for enjoying it.
"Super spoiler" was the exact phrase that came to my head when I saw all those links. Shooting something with a crossbow is easy, the tracking is what takes hours.
OK, but they are not very coordinated and still subject to the laws of physics. I'll take my chances on an island with deep, moving water at high tide and and long mud flats at low tide instead of a little hilltop just outside Atlanta where there are probably 2 million walkers. It's not like all the Atlanta zombies are going to march across Georgia like Sherman to the sea and try to cross the sound to get to a handful of people.
..'cuz every survivor will be heading to the island.. pretty soon an island with max. occupancy of 100 is going to have 1,000 ppl coming to it. and if people start getting infected on the island, you are basically trapped. also, Glenn is the most important character since he's the designated funny guy.
For those of you suggesting an island, are you forgetting this?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL71kC1DZ0g (sorry, embedding is disabled for this vid)
Screw that. I go with my peeps, blow the bridge, and lay low. I'm not broadcasting that there are empty houses on the Jekyll Island Golf Course. We'll set up a perimeter defense on the sound side and monitor who or what comes on the island. By the way, Mrs. rimrocker's plan for the apocalypse is to stuff a salt dome with a bunch of food and hookers because she thinks if civilization collapses, people will have to pay dearly for salt and will still want to pay for sex.
It is the oldest profession. But really with death imminent, what's to stop a group who has admitted death from orgying themselves to exhaustion and getting eaten in their sleep.
They tried that in Gears of War, and it hasn't worked out all to well for the COGS....ha yeah, totally different universe, but still. World War Z though, they escaped to the Rockies and they escaped north. I'd definitely head north and into the mountains, wait for winter and let the zombies freeze.
I don't know what COGS are... anyway... that's a good plan, but we were originally talking about the guys near Atlanta. Motoring across a continent full of zombies would be tougher logistically than traveling through rural Georgia and heading to the barrier islands along the Atlantic. Either one would probably be smarter than hanging around the Atlanta suburbs.
Watched Dead Set, Spoiler Pretty disappointed with the end, but I guess most alamo type situations end up that way. But I hate how that 1 token belligerent manages to completely screw over the group. Poor girl was such a cutie too.
It's obvious that the safety of the current camp is being compromised by zombies ranging further and further out in search of food. They're probably going to move soon. Also, you'd think that after a month the group would be more calm in dealing with zombies. Most of them just scream and run around.
so the 4th episode im guessing is aboust gangsters in the city kiddnaping the japanese guy and they kid nap one of theirs? so far thats what im seeing the previews
The show is on a downward trend from the first episode. And you know what the true sign of the apocalypse is? This guy getting cast as a stereotypical Latino gang banger...again. Spoiler
ep. 4 was weak sauce. wonder if murrel or whatever, the one handed guy led all the zombies to those ppl on the mountain top? if so hes a clever sumbitch with one hand going thru withdrawl.
The show became too "soft" today.... does pose some interesting questions for next week though. Will the group move into the city with that large community or will they try and move south east to Florida.
Had high hopes for this series, but unfortunately I'm close to giving up on it. While I wasnt a huge fan of the comic, I did find it to be pretty entertaining and generally good storywise and was hoping the tv series would closely follow the plot points. Unfortunately it doesnt look like that will happen as only 4 episodes in, there has been major changes to the story every episode... the worst being the gangmembers taking care of the old people plot. Never in a million years would that many people have survived in that area of Atlanta with so little security/food/water in the comic. Lets not even mention the idiotic storyline with them kidnapping glenn/gun exchange nonsense or that dramatic storyline where Carl had to tie up that guy for shoveling! Yes shoveling..
