Wow! That was unexpected. I so thought Carl was somehow gonna take the shot right before Herschel took the blade to the throat. Everyone hoping that it played out the way the comic did was close. Someone's head got taken off to get the full battle going.
I'm glad the prison is gone. Time for a refresh. That was a worthy mid-season finale. After two months off, 8 more episodes will hit the spot. The series is in a good place for me right now.
First episode Tyreese didn't annoy the hell out of me. Hopefully this was the last we see of his emotional tantrums. I thought he was supposed to be a bad ass, he has been 90% b**** this season. I'm happy Sasha lived through this episode. With no comic-book counterpart I was sure she was going to be a part of the death count.
Watching Talking Dead now...this girl crying because her TV dad died on the show, while she's sitting in front of Chris Hardwick whose real father just unexpectedly died in real life...jesus. Embarrassed for her and feel awful for him.
Carl is by far my second favorite character after Rick. He has made a huge jump, think of him as Anikan from Star Wars goes from an annoying 7 year old to a killing machine badass.
Lol same thing here as well. We were all on the edge of our seats saying, "Come on. Do it. Do it. Do it. YESSSSSS!!!!!!" High fives around the house.
Wow, I love Lauren Cohen, but damn her crying really made her not stop talking and rrepeating herself. I was pretty much wishing for her to stop talking even though I love her accent.
this show is just a dumb video game, new people show up, old people die, rinse repeat they even recycled the governor's attack on the prison plotline from last season Such a shame, the world itself is interesting and the effects are without equal. The characters and the storylines are just dumb. This show has zero humor and zero big picture story. It's just a never ending circling of the drain. Imagine the Justified characters in TWD universe, now that would be a terrific show.
Lol that was one of the most hilarious moments in Walking Dead. The way the writers make up outrageous situations to introduce ninja zombies amazes me. There was good action and finally someone who mattered died. Although I rofl'ed at Hershel rofl'ing even though his neck was half cut off. Then the Governor severs his head with the butt of the katana using his arm that got shot, who then pummels Rick with said shot arm. Do these writers not remember what they write? Attention to details matter. I'm glad the Governor is finally gone. The TV show really screwed up his character by trying to redeem him in season 3 and this season. The guy is just a psychopath, who apparently makes the most convincing arguments to get two armies to fight to the death for him. A lot of funny wtf moments during the gun fight, too. Like a lot of awkward pauses with characters while bullets are flying past and zombies moseying about. And Daryl going all Rambo using a zombie as a bullet-stopping meat shield, which the writers established zombies have the consistency of playdoh and that rifles have penetrating power when D'Angelo got a through-and-through, then tossing a grenade that rolls into the cab of the tank. No way a nade gets into the cab because there's obviously a door for the shells but lulz anyway. Before the "why watch if you criticize so much" crowd gets mad at me, I watch it for the comedy, which is not the show's intent, but it pulls off so wonderfully.
How would you write/direct a zombie apocalypse show? What do you mean "zero big picture story". Isn't trying to survive the zombie apocalypse enough? It's much better than goingto such and such place tthat has figured out some type of cure like in S1 going to the CDC. Governor still has a hatred for the prison group and wanted revenge proven by the fact that it really wasn't for Megan or lily when he shot Megan without any remorse. Wouldn't you want revenge as well if you were a psycho like him?
Spoiler Um....this attack...although not by Woodbury...is much like the comic book. The producers stretched the Governor's appearance, but Prison group loses a lot in the prison attack in the Comic book. Lori, the baby and others die in this attack and it is Tyresse whose head is cut off by the Gov..
I was hoping for the Gov to take the swipe at Hersh - then after the moment of shock Carl pops him right in the throat. I was an advocate for Carl to get dead but he's grown/been far less annoying this season. Was so excited when the girl started digging up something in the dirt. I knew it was her demise. "Am I bad?" No, thankfully you're dead though. Didn't think the little girl was going to finish off the woman - was surprised. and thankful - to see her go ham.. Then run off in the wrong direction. Da ***** was Glenn doing on that bus letting it drive off when Maggie isn't there. I know it was the plan but still.
My favorite part was when that little girl shot that chick right in the head. Good ****ing shot lol I find it funny that many wanted Carl to shoot the governor before he slit Hershals throat. But I think if that happened, people would be saying how unrealistic that is.....in a zombie show. Plus, that's too predictable. Some good guys have to die too as some point.
