Is it me or has the plot gone to ****s? Like what the hell? Beth hardly talks to Rick, and has never shown a sign of her being attracted to him. Now she kisses him out of the bloom?
Yeah, I agree. I read the comics over the weekend and the plot in the show just seems to be going too slow. I do not give a **** about the woodbury scenes or any carol scenes tbh.
i liked watching rick flip out. that's about the only thing i liked from the episode. i just wish he would have shot somebody as one of those "didn't see that coming" moments. the rest of the episode just felt like wasted show.
Episode 2 is where Glenn is playing the Ricktatorship role because right now Rick has lost it and is out of his mind... So don't worry, episode 2 will get right back on track...
Are you serious? Out of all the characters I've seen evolved in the show, no one has gone through more change than Glenn. He went from being a timid scared boy to a take no BS kind of guy. Not bad for someone who has survived this long while also finding the capacity to love someone in the horrific universe. With Daryl gone Glenn will step up. Give him a break.
I'm beginning to think all the boring posts is a result of the show taking a break midway. Albeit it's been only two months since we were all left cliff hanging its going to take a litlte time to get back into the plot. I'm thinking it'll pick up back soon.
Maybe Shane shouldn't be sleeping with another man's wife??? Shane should keep his mouth shut and Shane don't be messin with Rick.. Rick broke dat ass up good!
My only real problem is Michonne. What an utterly disappointing character she is, and I don't even get her motivations for going after the Governor like she did. And she still won't say a damn thing! Daryl won't be gone for long, and it makes me wonder if he'll have to take out Merl at some point...especially based on Carol's conversation with Carl. He's blood sure, but at some point you gotta say enough is enough. And Glen is all emo again. Rick just saved your ass and you're all flipping out because you couldn't go back to help. And then you're giving Maggie the cold shoulder again. Jeez dude, be grateful you're alive.
With the way Rick is loosing it, there is no way he and Shane could have coexisted. Shane was my favorite character on the show but he and Rick were destined to square off, and the guy with a wife and kid and the center of the comics was going to survive. They possibly could have drawn it out for longer maybe for this season but it had to happen sooner rather than later. I was not bored during this episode, you expect something like this right after a huge shoot out and intense action packed season finale. You have to lay some ground work for the remainder of the season. The episode starts off with them saving Daryl and Merle and escaping Woodbury and the brothers venturing off solo. You have some dialogue between Tyrese and grandpa to help show that Tyrese seems like a reasonable and good person (you also that his colleague and son or whomever the kid is are dirt bags, which could lead to drama in the future). You are left to wonder what side Andrea will be on when the 2 groups actually come face to face for a battle. Then when it looks like Rick is going to be open to letting Tyrese and his crew stick around he looses it. You also get to see Glenn progress even further and it seems while Rick is loosing composure, Glenn may take over some of Ricks leadership qualities. They are laying ground work for the rest of the season. This episode wasn't especially intense but you are left with a lot of questions to ponder as the season progresses. Plus the preview for the next episode make it seem like it will not be long before the action continues. Also, one question, do you guys think Rick saw some of Shane's' features in the baby in that scene where he is holding the baby after returning from Woodbury?
I assumed as much after that one chick said the baby has Lori's eyes but nothing about having Rick's features.
I think he was just feeling incredibly overwhelmed. He's having to carry a burden that no one single man should have to.
