The following isn't really a spoiler if you saw last night's episode, but a cool moment from the comics that somewhat appeared in last night's TV episode. I'll spoiler tag it just in case:

If the print is too small to see, looking at the tanks with the zombie heads in them, the Governor says "57 Channels and nothing on."

For some reason I thought that wasn't in the comic, totally forgot about it. I think I blinded myself expecting them to show him in there with his daughter.

The only reason to have a secured town is to have it overrun by a zombie horde imo. So, I guess that would be coming at some point. Other obvious is it turns into a battle between Rick's group and the Governor's group with zombies complicating things.

seeing the previews and teasers, It makes me wonder if Woodbury scouts are messing with the prison group or is that another group we will meet?

Love the show but the acting was horrible this past episode. Between the samurai girl and lab guy, it was kinda hard to watch.

if you do, please spoiler. Don't want to know what happens in the comics unless it's about things that have already been revealed on the show...

Michonne is the new Mr. T. Her only expressions are angry and angrier.

Andrea's face makes this show hard to watch. Kill her with fire already.

I will say that Andrea being so easily taken in by what the Governor is saying to her is annoying to me. She's a little too free-flowing with the trust already.

She's always been sopping wet for guys like Shane and the Governor. They have the kind of toughness that she's been trying to fake.

Yep, she's got a thing for power in the TV version, seems to be easily sucked in by those types. Wouldn't be surprised her bedding up with him soon.

Michonne: "I want my two dollars!"

Me: "Here is a twenty. Smile, girl!"

They have a guarded society, doctors, happy looking families. The alternative is living day-to-day in a zombie infested countryside? Shoot I'd be all over him too. Shoot, even knowing the nasty things he does I'd still be on his side.

It amuses me that people who are watching the show on tv and therefore know all the little truths that each character doesn't get to see would knock Andrea for buying in the governor (thus far.)

She was sick and near death and was given medicine that saved her life. She's in a gated community that is guarded, but it's got a number of women and children who are enjoying themselves/not acting like prisoners. The governor has not refused to let her leave. They have real food, warm showers, etc.

At this point why is she supposed to be rebelling? Because she is unarmed? She has three options

    1) Stay and see what's up. Maybe it is paradise. You get to be safe, eat well, stay clean, make friends, etc.
    2) Try to leave and the governor is legit. He lets you take your weapons and leave the city. Your now stuck back in the horror show that is the real world being hunted by zombies to what end? To find another group that will take you in? Or just keep wandering until you die?
    3) Try to leave and the governor is a liar and instead of just letting you leave he imprisons you, kills you, uses you as a sex slave? Who knows, but you are outnumbered pretty severely by well armed men.

Gee, it's so annoying that she's picking option #1.

The point isn't that she's buying into the Governor. The point is that she has had a huge inferiority complex up to now, overcompensates for it by trying to act tough and capable and failing at it (narrowly shooting Daryl in the head), and going after the balls of the guys she perceives have the most power and authority. In comparison to the comics, her character is pathetic and annoying.

I'm not saying it's stupid. But I think I would be thinking more along the lines of how Michonne is thinking. She gets the feeling something is off. That's where I'd be. Maybe cautiously optimistic, but not smiley and ready for the Governor to assign me a job ("can I help with anything?".

And, I am a fan of the comics. So I'm having a hard time with this TV version of that character.

So I get it -- different interpretation. But compared to the Andrea I know from first reading the character, the way the TV version acts and reacts is annoying.
