Yeah, except people actually paid attention to those teams and you never questioned their hustle.

    Far from the '93-'95.

This team so DOES NOT remind me of the 94-95 team, AT ALL. Not even close. Nowhere near. Not even in same universe. Pray tell, what is the connection? You are aware that was a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM lead by one of the greatest NBA players of all time, oui? The Dream averaged close to 28 ppg that year shooting at an almost 52% clip. The team had a boat load of shooter/scorers who were nothing like the current brick-brigade. Somehow, I don't remember, "playing down to the competition" as a chronic habit, nor, "I don't think I am really interested in this game, so I will do the least possible" attitude as a problem. But, that's just me.

LOL such an optimist. A healthy rocket last year can't even finish off the jazz with homecourt advantage

Bring back Hakeem the Dream. I prefer Mad Max to Bonzi and Kenny Smith to Rafer Alston. I think we can realistically bring back Sam Cassell and Robert Horry to form the duo that should have carried us through the past 10 years instead of Sir Chuck and Scottie Pippen.

I think Scott Brooks and Aaron Brooks is a wash though. Matt Bullard can kick Steve Novak's ass up and down the street (maybe Pete Chilcutt should have a try too though). I'll take Chucky Brown over Chuck Hayes any day. Maybe Charles Jones and Dikembe can have a Senior Olympics to see who makes the cut.

Good observation. Just goes to show how valuable shooting is in this league, especially on teams that are primarily not running teams. Korver is getting that off DWill and Carlos. But he had the ability and was shooting that way before he got to Utah.

Man, I really like Shane. In fact, I don't want to trade the guy. But when you compare his shooting to guys like Korver, Mike Miller, and P.J., he's not even in their league. Those guys take twice as many bombs per minute and still hit at an extremely high rate. And that's playing on teams that don't have 111, where those guys have been the focus of the defense a lot of the times. Battier just can't or won't take that many bombs. Either because he can't (I think his release is too slow) or because he won't (I think he is too unselfish).

For our team to go to the next level we need:

    1. Better shooting from the PG position.
    2. Shane to take and hit a higher volume of 3 point shots or Novak to see more minutes and keeping at 60% from 3 point land or trade for a bomber like Miller/Szczerbiak that will flat gun it out there.
