If Cleveland trades for Bibby, something they are working on, they would have to give up Gooden. Meaning, they will want to keep Marshall as the back-up and won't really need a point guard anymore.

I don't mind Francis but not at the 1. And if we do sign him, then Luther is expandable...the only thing Luther does better than Francis is shoot.

The Portland based media seem to think it's hot air. They say Blazers are offering a less than the LLE deal and Udoka's people are saying he's getting a better deal elsewhere but why wrangle if there is that better deal?

Chucky Atkins to Denver, Steve Blake to Portland, Mo Williams probally gonna return to Milwaukee. Miami is gonna get DESPERATE for a point guard. My guess is francis goes there b/c they probally will offer him whatever he wants to go there.

Screw Francis. We need to trade Battier, Suras contract and and give SAC Head for Artest. Then sign Matt Barnes. That will complete this team.

    Ming
    TMac
    Scola
    Hayes
    Wells
    Barnes
    Snyder
    James
    Reafer
    Thats a good rotation.

Francis lead the league in FT% for the first third or half or last season. He had a couple insane games where he hit 12/13, 12/12 and 15/15 from the FT line. By the end of the season, he came back down to his normal ~80% level.

Career-wise Alston has a higher 3PT% than Francis, but last year Francis improved his 3PT% past Alston's to 37.8%. Both his 3PT% and FT% dropped off towards the end of the season. Again, this is more than likely due to issues with coaching and management.

Personally, I like the idea of having James, Francis, T-Mac, Rafer, Head, and Brooks as our six guards. Francis might be redundant, but he's a low-risk, high-reward gamble I think we should take.

Hey smartass i dont know where the hell you are gonna pull out the money to sign barnes after we sign scola. he's gonna get at least 3 million for his buyout. that leave us with two million that matt barnes would rather spit on than take.

francis last few years of 3pt shooting is skewed because he hasnt shot very many.

i dont mind having francis here, but assuming that b/c francis is here you can get rid of alston is what im against. if anything, rafer would still need to run the point and francis can move to the SG position. i never want to see francis trying to set up a rockets offense and controlling tempo (pg duties)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we're gonna sign a guy we already spent money to aquire. If nothing else he pal around the D-league for a year.

The assertion that our PGs will look like James/Francis or Francis/James is pretty piss poor. Adelman wants to make things easier for T-Mac, not more difficult.

Look at the bright side...T-Mac's steals will go up, when he'll have to steal the ball from his own team mates to get a shot off. :D

Don't worry Morey will run his statistical analysis of Steve Francis and in the end, if it makes sense from a $$$ and statistical standpoint, we'll have him on board. If it doesn't well...good luck to him wherever he goes. It all depends on Moreyball.

That is really funny, and you know that I actually threatened a PG on a team I played on to do the same thing. And I was serious. You could go through an entire game and never touch the ball except on rebounds. What an incredible ball hog. He is a rich attorney now.

    Interesting.

Don't mind adding Francis at around 2 mils a year, just to stack up depth, collect tradable assets, and watch the ball getting dribbled off the foot, oh the good old memories on the ball hogging trio shall be rekindled.

    Smartass?

    moron?

WOW! Where is all this hostility coming from? How should I respond to these horrible name callings? Ok, first ill start with wannabee big shot bob. Let me ask you this Mr capologist, how much do you think M Barnes is going to get? He has said he hasnt had anything near the MME offered so far. We still have our MME which of course some of which will go towards signing Scola. No one knows exactly how much yet. Then there is the LLE and correct me if im wrong but dont we have somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 players and or contracts tied to our roster right now. Seems to me that another team recently was able to trim 2 million dollars of there cap saving themselves from the luxury tax. Now who was that team again? I just cant put a name on it, dam! Im no capoligist like you but im sure there is a way if we really wanted him. Maybe you should ask redretard111 he is a genius.

Now redretard111, what makes you think that SAC would pass up a deal that would bring them Battier, Head and Cap space (Suras contract). Let me guess, an internet rumor right. Whos the moron now r****d? The Magoofs might not want to help out RA but if we made the deal sweet enough they would jump. Its just stupid to think otherwise.

Pull your crystal ball out of your arse. I got a better question for you, why trade Battier, for a headcase that will probably only lead the league in techs, and suspensions?

SF is reportly signing with Clippers for 2 years, $1 mil first year and $5 mil 2nd year.

Why cannot we make that offer and then try to move Rafer?

We may not want him, he may prefer the Clippers or we may not be able to move Rafer. If Rafer is moved first and the Rockets want SF, maybe something could happen.

Yesterday on 610 radio they were all about us signing, even airing random ads promoting the signing of the Franchise.

Today, quite the opposite, they hated on any mention of us picking him up.
