If Elon Musk was out bashing Trump something tells me you would absolutely love him, there are so many billionaires on the Democrat's side that were pulling strings for their benefit but ya'll never cared about them.

As an American, I'm actually content with DOGE.... Will I get anything out of it, likely never.... Do I enjoy worthless aholes getting fired for throwing away our tax dollars at dumb $hit and earning a comfortable life for it? HELL YES...

Look, the impacts that reach me form a Democrat president to a Republican one will always be minimal. I can't control corruption from either side but I can vote for what I believe is better overall. If you want to cry yourself to sleep every night then so be it....

Democrats are in a full tailspin after Trump's amazing speech last night. He has never been stronger.

I think you are incapable of debating political topics outside of cult of personality characters. Mark Cuban says mean things about Trump and I still think he is a person who doesn't deserve his net worth.

I fundamentally disagree with the wealth accumulation practices of our capital holding class. Hakeem Jeffries says mean things about Trump. I despise him.

Hating Trump has little to do with me respecting the principles of someone. For you, praise or hate of Trump dictates whether you respect someone or not because you don't have any principled ideologies and are just attached to a cult of personality.

You are what we call a "useful idiot" for the wealthiest capital owners in America. They love working class people like you feeling as if salaried employees doing research and collecting data to make sure America keeps on having arable land are the waste and not the massive amount of government contracts handed out to private equity that allow the shareholders and executives of those companies that lobbied for those contracts to leech off public tax payer money to increase their personal wealth.

When I drew comics as a child, I always thought the other kids who put word bubbles going directly into their characters' mouths were complete idiots.

I often find that the people who act as though they know exactly what needs to be done or what the unifying message need to be (especially with the Dems) usually is the person we need to listen to the least.

Yes there are tactically some things that could be done on the margins in the short term for small gains but nothing big and unifying for critical mass. We are sort of stuck in this abusive marriage until some sort of event happens to push things where they need to go to move forward.

For 2026 the opposition agenda probably can be successful by just status quo liberal politics opposing Trumps nonsense. However in 2027-28 I think we are in a position where the population is poised for a cult of personality opposition more than they are to be in a situation where values and policy leads a “normal” candidate to just run a solid campaign and win in a large enough way to mandate the large scale change needed.

Every reaction has an opposite but equal reaction. Choosing corrupt autocracy doesn’t come without opposition consequences. America blew its chance to have just normal governing types moving forward most likely and nobody knows what the hell opposition in 2028 looks like because we don’t know who will arise out of this crap with a voice.

The Democrats lack any aspiration right now - they don't have any central message or ideal to strive for.

While I don't agree with MAGA - they do have a message and are optimistic that it is obtainable.

I agree with you that the Democrats focus should be on economic issues and labor issues that the Republicans run all over.

Also - I agree that essentially the Democrats became the status quo party.

Truth Derangement Syndrome is a real thing........

Racist MAGA and Trumpers can't handle the truth.

    So they avoid it.

agree, but what they did last night did not help bolster their position. im sure the base loved it, but those antics arent going to sway the people whose votes they need.

MGT and boobert came off like idiots during bidens state of the union(s) by drawing all that attention to themselves. i feel like many of the dems did the same last night.

I agree - if the Democrats continue down the same path, they will continue to lose elections more often than they win them. However, I don't think that they will keep doing the same thing - at some point a lack of success causes changes at the top of parties.

Democrats also lost perspective that basic principles such as immigration.

MAGA isn't centrist, and it isn't for equality - at least thus far in practice. It is a populist movement in message but the reality is that Trump has increased the deficit while also passing large scale tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. He is cutting consumer protections and benefits for the lower and middle classes.

However - at least Trump has a central focus and message, which the Democrats do not.

The Democrats did look foolish last night. Some of that was their antics and some of it was that it wasn't their night - Trump controlled the message and the lector.

There are Democrats that would love Musk if he were a liberal - a lot of Democrats loved him pre-COVID.

However @fchowd0311 isn't one of them. He has long been consistent in the belief that the lack of wealth distribution is the largest problem in the USA and Musk is part of that.

The President of the United States did a meme coin pump and dump scheme.

That one sentence signals to every rational thinking human on the planet that America is cooked.

The MAGA movement has basically vanquished any remaining part of my brain that had any semblance of pride in being American.

There was a time in my life where the CO of my company told me the American flag velcro patch on my plate carrier was out of regulation and had to be taken off because it was policy to not make our presence look like an "American invasion" to the local villagers in Marjah. I was that level of "American" in terms of pride at one point in my life.

But man the past 8 years of witnessing MAGA has been a journey.

Even a younger Trump would be no better. He's still be a compulsive lying scumbag, willing to cheat, steal, and con people for money.
