Those huge tax cuts trump gave corporations... that were supposed to pay for themselves? Another lie...

Big businesses paying even less than expected under GOP tax law
Though profits remain up and the economy is strong, total corporate taxes are at the lowest levels seen in more than 50 years.

But at least major corporations and the top 1% got their big tax cuts...

Worker bonuses slump 22 percent after GOP tax cuts

Of course, they are "Independents and "Libertarians" and none actually voted for him...

The Trump tax cuts actually make giving bonuses more expensive because the lack of tax savings I get for the deduction.

Edit: I don't mean to imply there is no deduction, just less valuable than it was under higher tax rates.

This isn't shocking and it isn't sustainable.

Business investment is likely weak because of Trump's trade wars.

Exactly. But "trade wars are good and easy to win."

Lol. But, honestly, even though trade wars are damaging and hard to win, it's possible that they are sometimes necessary. I think a lot of his fights have been bs, but we could see that there was going to be a trade fight with China sooner or later. And, if there's a time to do it, it's when our economy is strong. I don't know if he's going about it the right way or not, but I can't fault him too much on doing it.

Oh, without a doubt china needs to be called out on things (ie government sponsored software and other technology piracy). But as often the case, trump manages to blur a good end goal with bad approach and execution.

Just in time to blame Biden, and wipe out the DEM in 2024. 13-D chess.
