I say......GREAT IDEA! You could track all those potential recruits of terror this way. It will make people feel safer. The IDs could be.....say.......could be tattoo on their arms.....Holographic tattoos with all the relevant info. You Trump has an a great mind. This idea worked before........and was effective in eliminating the treat to the German people in WW2! What is old is new again!:(

    /Sarcasm.............

    Republicans get what they deserve.

Anyone who thinks the NSA won't have their snoopers deep in every refugee's anus is fooling themselves. There will already be a database of these people, they will be tracked closely as a result of their country of origin.

Good God, its like y'all are completely unaware of the PATRIOT Act.

Trump is the by product of a Conservative party that refuses to reign in its subtle , but extreme, crazy and racist impositions they constantly feed to the uneducated masses through their propaganda networks. Trump,in of himself is not really an issue, as there is at least some rationality in the opposition. The problem is somewhere down the line when we have gone so deep down the rabbit hole, that a nutjob manages to sneak his way into the Whitehouse and God knows what will happen.

The bottom line is the conservative party is a problem and they need to 're-invent themselves quickly.

Not really. Our current president is compared to Hitler every day by teabaggers.

Why fix what isn't broken? Doubling down on the Southern Strategy is what you do if you want to win elections. The only exception is the presidency, but I think the GOP is resigned to that if they continue to dominate in other races.

Investigating clergymen who engage in hate speech isn't out of bounds, especially if they advocate violence. Of course, when the FBI starts investigating some evangelist whackos who hate gay people or advocate killing doctors who perform abortions, I suspect a lot of the faithful will suddenly start screaming about their right to free speech :)

You do have a point. With gerrymandering still going strong, the current right wing rhetoric will almost always win you congressional seats and a majority. However, they will still always fail in general elections. Basically for the next couple of decades we will consistently see a Democrat president and a Republican majority in the House with the Senate being up for grabs.

I think Republicans are fading (dying of old age) faster than that. After two decades, the Republican Party will not be one of the top two parties in America.

I think people underestimate the effect of economic (and educational) disparity on GOP recruiting. As long as you have a stream of frustrated, vastly underpaid and under-opportunitied people, you will have some people who can fall right into the FOX News vortex of anger and left-blaming. With the wealth gap growing every day, with money growing more concentrated in fewer hands every day, this opens a huge potential group to recruit into angry and fearful rhetoric.

Scares the **** out of me, given historical parallels. Absolutely terrifying, and Donald Trump represents a logical step in the process not an outlying sideshow.

The majority of domestic attacks came from the 'White Power' people. Does Trump plan to assign these people with special IDs? It can only right to do so.

this is dumb, there should be a database on everybody , if there isn't one already.

all trump is doing is throwing a dog a bone, don't actually believe he has a real plan for anything.

It's just what you got to do. It's no longer about being racist, as it is being defensive.

I rather whoever gets in charge, Trump or not, take a very strong stance against radical anything. You kind of have to be prejudice to do that, and that's fair.

I'm of brown skin, facial hair, etc. I'm totally pro the airport people profiling me. It needs to be done.

I guess for his era; but pretty much everyone up to McKinley and then Wilson were racist. I don't know that anyone after that really expressed their opinions other than Truman in that letter he wrote.
