Where did the question come from you ask?

The question that began this 'mosque shutdown' discussion arose from the French Prime Ministers call that Mosques be shut down

If anyone suggested it to begin with it was him and Trump gave his opinion on the matter when asked. Trump just said it is something to look into along with everything else. He never said he would shut down all Mosques, only those that that were founded by convicted terrorists and if they were shut down they need to be looked at hard.

I rarely join these type of discussions so I don't know if its the norm (or if I'm just being trolled) but for longtime debaters and active members in this area of the forum... is it typically this ignorant and dull-witted?

 

You are correct. And the fact that Trump didn't shoot down the idea as soon as it was brought up is a huge problem

The Mosque (singular) he talked about shutting down was founded and ran by a terrorist. A legit murdering terrorist, teaching his religion to others.. others whom also have become legit murdering killing terrorists. Now I'm not saying everyone at the Mosque was, a lot of members WERE NOT. A lot of members were law abiding and loving/caring American citizens. However, the founder and head was a terrorists... ALONG with several members that became terrorists after he took under his wing.

It's not one in total, he only specifically proposed that one. He said there are more just like it that need to be looked at with a closer eye.

First off, no where in his rhetoric did he state any particular mosques. His rhetoric is NEVER that nuanced. Second, what is deemed as 'hate rhetoric'?

According to their 'research', 80% of U.S. mosques in the U.S. preach hate rhetoric. Being a former Muslim in the U.S. hand visiting dozens of different mosques, I highly doubt that figure, but who is Trump going to believe? You honestly thin 80% of Mosques need to be shut down in the U.S.?

 

^^ That's the plural. Reading comp 101? There is a lot of preliminary evidence there are other Mosques with radical leadership. Those are the ones that need to be looked at closer and possibly shut down
