He wanted you to know this so much he tweeted it twice this AM (so far). Either that our he forgot after forty minutes. Meanwhile unemployment benefits for those impacted by the trump pandemic are lapsing...
Lol but according to @SuraGotMadHops hes a conservative. Again this is like a twilight zone thing I don’t get how his supporters get brainwashed so easily
As for brainwashing we have Rush, Fox and the millionaire preachers and Prosperity Gospel. Trump gave the big conservative players in the party what they wanted, albeit with an embarrassing style" a huge tax cut with a tiny bit for the 99% to sell it; arms spending increases; climate denying and fracking to the max, lol pretending to be a big fan of religion, especially Evangelical Christianity; immigrant bashing,, the Federal Courts-- abortion and guns for the little guys , a corporate wet dream for the big guys. One of the few Trump supporters I discuss politics extensively with irl likes "Trump never gives up fighting for their agenda , no matter what". No wanly complaining about not having both Houses
If that’s the case (and I think you’re correct), then let’s get them to officially reject it, on record. Too often I think the Democrats outnegotiate themselves by refusing to even try to put progressive policy in front of Republicans, which allows the latter to push the final legislation even more rightwards and gives the impression to many voters that they don’t support progressive policy at all. Pelosi needs to get a simple, $2K a month bill out of the House before the new year so that it’s on McConnell’s desk. This is as much about building a narrative that could help maintain control of the House and possibly even lead to taking control of the Senate as it is passing the aid right now.
Corporatists love long line for food. A double message, you are telling workers " be scared, this can happen to you" and you also have the heroic volunteerism of folks giving out the food. Ivanka has had several well publicized photo ops handing out food to the hungry in soup kitchens or food pantries. Rand Paul recently incensed that somebody undeserving might get the measly $600, which he voted against, has had camera crews film when he went down to Central America a time or two and did a few free eye surgeries for kids. Trump himself, not as successfully from a PR point of view, tossed paper towels to the flooded out Puerto Ricans.
The bills put forth and rejected are public knowledge. In the greater context, the Dems won the presidency and underperformed elsewhere due to “radical left” and “defund the police”. I certainly agree they need to get better messaging but tying up the negotiations on something that won’t happen could easily backfire. Also that assumes all the house democrats will go along with tying up everything because the house gop won’t be helping.
No they didn't. This is all speculation that doendt. Account for confounding factors. Very lazy analysis. Because I can go selectively chose examples that go against your narrative just like you can find selective examples of the opposite. For example, how does a state like Florida that passed initiatives like 15 dollar minimum wage that only pass in ultra liberal states like Washington while also selecting the GOP candidate for president? How does that work? It seems like there is some media consumption that is brainwashing you.
how would putting forth a 2nd bill tie things up? The main relief bill’s passing is not predicated on the passage of the $2k individual payments. again, what I’m seeing here from you is an expectation that the Democrats act totally selflessly in order to save Americans from the Republicans’ bad faith. That is neither politically nor morally wise.
It’s a narrative that the Dems underperformed in congressional elections? Seems like a fact to me, hopefully they can win Georgia to change that. Im looking at the big picture.
No the narrative is WHY they underperformed and not just at the congressional level but at the presidential level also as Biden was expected to have a 8+ pt lead nationally. Read more carefully next time. The narrative is they underperformed because of progressivism. Seems like the bank and insurance industry donors of the DNC are rather successful in spreading their narratives.
I could be misunderstanding it but the aid bill is currently limbo? Congress is trying to reach another compromise before the Tuesday deadline when benefits lapse? I usually argue for the Dems to be more Machiavellian but I don’t see a play here.
Be more clear next time.... Not entirely due to progressives but if you can’t see how progressivism got out messaged by Trump and Co then I don’t know what to tell you.
So you just paint me as mainstream and think it discredits me? The bolded part is what a person in a echo chamber would say, are you actually trying to say Progressive sites are not as biased? You sound like a Trumper more and more every day.
You can't make the Senate vote on the record. There has been a bill sent to senate going on about 6 months and there are many other progressive policies put in front of Republicans and they just ignore them. https://www.newsweek.com/mitch-mcconnell-grim-reaper-395-house-bills-senate-wont-pass-1487401
Here is a bit advice on Trumps $2K... If you find yourself agreeing with Trump, you're probably on the wrong side of logic.
