Yup, if you voted for him, just say I loved what he is doing, we can live that. Let's see what happens in 2018 and 2020.

This is the wrong approach. The 2016 election isn't coming back. Who care if anyone regrets what they've done? Instead I'd say, Trump voters, it's time to admit we need to move on from Trump. He's not working out. If he was useful once for avoiding another Clinton presidency, he's useful no longer. Even @Space Ghost can stop dancing his No-Hillary jig for a moment and admit the country would be better off with a President Pence (gulp!) if Trump were impeached, or worst case getting primaried in 2020 by a responsible conservative.

    But that's their talking point.

Defense of Trump. "Better than Hillary"

Take that away, and there's no defense. LOL

LOL... You do know Hillary is not president right? "But Hillary"

What are we going to do about Trump, who IS the president?

Keep him or dump him? What's your defense of keeping him?

    Waiting...

Edit:: The two options are keeping Trump or getting rid of Trump.

Hey, I don't know about you guys, but I am starting to get the idea that Trump really doesn't know what he is doing. Call it a hunch...

Right, so clearly Trump is incompetent, and people's only defense is the "Look over there at Hillary" nonsense.

So, let's say..YEP, she was incompetent too.....so let's get together and figure out how to get someone GOOD in there.....

SNL's S43 premiere cold open should be a revolving door with everyone Trump has hired/fired going in/coming out. No words. Just costumes.

Unfortunately the Trump Presidency is mirroring cable news and reality TV. You need to be extreme in order to win. The precedent has been set.

Man I feel like Bernie v Rubio would've at least given us a President we wouldn't be embarrassed by.

In an alternate reality where Hillary won and was President, I still think there still would be total government gridlock. Republicans controlling the other two legislative branches would have prevented her from passing any legislation she might have wanted. Likewise for the GOP looking to pass any legislation they can overnight like ACA repeal and expect Hillary to sign off on it. I don't think much would be different to be honest, other than Hillary would have far less foot in mouth situations than Trump does, and she'd actually hire competent people in government like getting an actual accomplished Chemist or Nuclear Physicist as head of DOE instead of 2.4 GPA in animal studies in Rick Perry.

How many unappointed positions has Trump failed to hire? How much staff has Trump had to replace with existing staff he's appointed? Do you really think Hillary would be worse than Trump with foreign policy or would fail to hire competent staff the way he has? Again, I don't think a Hillary presidency would turn this country around for the better, but I certainly don't think she'd screw up nearly as much as Trump has in such a short time frame.

I would expect the GOP to keep in her check, and blame her for any legislation that doesn't get passed and likewise for Hillary to blame the GOP when she has any legislation she wants passed and gets blocked by them. Still government gridlock. Probably still more of the same, which is what Trump voters were tired of, but that's exactly what you're getting with Trump anyways, except far more worse baggage with his antics.

Actually, people could have voted third-party or even write-in. And if you believe many Trump supporters here, lots of them didn't vote for Trump.

But the "better than Hillary" excuse is losing more and more validity on a daily basis...

Fine. But, if Trump tweeted today that he was resigning, would you be happy or sad?

It had no credibility in the first place. Hillary would be a better President than Trump. The GOP controls all 3 branches of government with more conservative SCOTUS that would likely rule in their favor and they still CAN'T pass any credible legislation that would benefit Americans. None. Zilch.

At least with Hillary as President, the GOP would have a credible excuse for government gridlock by blaming Hillary. Senators could go on Fox news and go on and on about how Hillary is the reason no legislation is passed. With Trump, they don't even have that. It's just constant egg in face. Trump will literally sign off on anything put in front of his desk, and he's too much of a buffoon to probably read the fine print to see if it's good legislation and the GOP can't even come up with anything that actually benefits Americans despite that.

The floodgates are literally open for conservatives to get what they want passed and are still too incompetent to do it. Isn't that the more of the same Trump voters were so tired of?

That's not true! They just passed MAJOR legislation sanctioning Russia. When Trump brags about his accomplishments, that will be the second bullet after Gorsuch.

I will be honest and possibly surprise many... if Trump is forced by situation to resign, and/or faces impeachment, I will not be happy. It will be a horrible day for America, and not just for all those that voted for Trump. It is a very serious move, changing leadership in between election cycles, and one that can't happen without serious thought and process.

That is why I am so unhappy with the election of Trump... and with his performance to date. His decisions and actions, and those made around him, have led us to this point in time. All those that supported/still support him because of what he said, what he has done... and who he is? You all have led us to this. Hopefully we will recover (regardless of Trump whether Trump leaves office or not).

I'm no economist, so how much of trump's numbers that he spilled out are due to him ?
I remember that black man inherited an economy that was on the brink of being the worst since the great depression.

That black man was just so awful at that presidency thing?
