He does have a responsibility to maintain the border. But not just any way he wants. He must do so within the framework of the law.

He exhausted the regular legal framework and was obstructed by anti-american globalists who want to sabotage our economy... he has the authority to declare the emergency and can argue it in court. Bring on the lawyers. Can't wait.

How does securing the border equate to building a wall or do you think trump knows better than the actual experts involved in securing the border.

Only a moron would think a wall is what is needed to secure the border, when even the great wall couldnt secure china.

Crap!!!! He's on to us, guys! He found out about our anti-American Globalist plan to sabotage the economy. Oh well back to the drawing board.

We would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for you meddling dachuda86 and Donald Trump. You've protected America from our attempts once again.

That makes no sense. He exhausted his avenues within the framework without success which means the will of the people to do something isn't expressed and the status quo prevails. We have divided government for a reason. If a policy change can't get buy in from the House and the Senate and the President, it doesn't happen. That's our system.

At the end of the day, the root of the problem is the electorate - too much ignorance, narrow mindedness and nearsightedness is why we have so much crap at all levels of our government

He was sabotaged by the Constitution, the GOP, and his inability to compromse. Remember they turned down $15 billion because DACA was too tough for them.

Let me know when Trump starts making his MAGA hats in America.... Trump is a globalist through and through.

Just remember.... Climate Change and National Emergency.

Well, you can say that about the right too. McConnell is giving thumbs up to this and McConnell has been the poster child of Party over Country more than really any other modern politician. You expect the Democrats to just play nice?

Also, the Dems can't be blamed on this one. It's Trump who was dumb enough to promise a wall that Mexico would pay for and its Trump that's dumb enough to declare a national emergency. It really isn't their job to help Trump get his policy through, it's Trump's job to convince them that his policy is what is best for the country. He hasn't done that.

So what is the national emergencies act? Is that not part of our legal framework? Congress can try to limit him, he can try to ram it through. This will be a historic case.

Supporting border protection is vital to the survival of your lifestyle and living standards. Just because you don't understand the implications, doesn't mean we're all blind idiots like yourself.

It's kind of like he actually wants the court to deny him this wall.

trump referred to it as a "virtual" invasion, so what is the actual emergency? Border security can be better served via a number of approaches and the recently passed agreement provides for all of those approaches. The "mandate" is questionable... and the slowness that trump and the republican majority congress moved on it (and... trump even said today he didn't need to do this step, but just wanted his wall sooner).

And you are even wrong with the "without russia help" unrelated comment... first of all, the intelligence community has already concluded russia interfered in order to help trump, and if you are alluding to the Senate subcommittee investigation, they didn't conclude "without russian help".

So... the only thing you are correct on is that the courts will shut this down.

    Art of the Deal!!!!

Turn down $15 Billion, pout like a b****, can’t convince your own party to bulls the wall, settle for less, and declare a national emergency.

They used two years and over 200 interviews and found nothing. Frankly it's on you man to prove the Russian thing. You're no better than an anti-vaxer at this point, but go ahead an cling to that wing nut. And the invasion is quite an accurate term. Maybe it isn't like Lord of the Rings where you have a huge army at your gate, but there is an invasion of a hostile population that damages the economy and is stealing benefits and hurting our country. We shouldn't have to be over run with a foreign group that is breaking our laws to gain access. Spin it however you want, because talking to you is like talking to an actual wall. A shame we can't throw you on the border and be done with it.

I know its become acceptable within trump supporters to allow trump to lie about things... but how can anyone defend the president of the united states outright lying about his predecessor in claiming that he would have declared war with another country. Out what point does lying go so far beyond the pale to be an impeachable offense?
