I just don't think you and most right wingers even understand what a "sanctuary city" is. It's something that most law enforcement (not exactly snowflake libtards) in major cities desire for a reason.

 

Now trump appears to actually want to run with it. So he can't claim it was fake news, misreporting leaks. So he really doesn't want a solution to the problem he has exasperated... but instead, wants to try to politicize this.

 

Like you don't already consider them that.

And I know exactly what they are and it still doesn't change my position on moving people to cities where they are wanted. They should find plenty of acceptance in these heavily Democratic cities, because Republicans are mostly racist, bigots, homophobic, etc. This is for the best.

I don't even think you understand the problem at the border and I don't think you have a clue of what I want.

The way to solve the problem legally is hire more immigration judges and or work with Mexico to control the flow of Central American immigrants seeking Asylum. Those are the two legal options on the book. You don't add additional security for a problem where people are voluntarily showing up at checkpoints and handing themselves to border patrol.

Unfortunately for Trump, our laws explicitly states that any migrant has the right to have their case heard. It doesn't mean I want all of them in. It means I want the problem solved and the only way the problem is solved is by removing the choke point which isn't security but lack of judges hearing cases thus creating a 4-5 year backlog.

I know it doesn't sound sexy and I know it isn't going to energize voting bases but that is the actual solution and you and other Trump supporters can play cute games but it won't solve problems.


Again, you have no ****ing clue what a sanctuary city entails. And you are not looking for a solution but rather ways to feel good about yourself trolling on a message board.

There really is no exchange of genuine sincere debate with you.

I largely think your condescension to be rude and unnecessary. I perfectly understand the border situation and I don't see why you don't think more security would be needed if armies of migrants are massing and marching on the border. We are a country of laws friend, and it is completely needed. More judges too. If we can't handle them, the they should be turned away to the safest country they came to which is Mexico, because they can claim asylum there and be perfectly safe. I think you have misrepresented the situation actually in many cases and you cling to spin you probably picked up from propaganda off leftist echo chambers.

 

I think anyone who agrees with Trump's brain fart passing idea that dumping migrants in cities where local law enforcement does not want the burden of being immigration officers in pretty much every major US city(Sanctuary cities) because "they deserve it" is a Trump **** sucker because it's such an asinine unproductive idea based on shitty premises such as believing the current "crisis" requires more walls instead of judges and having an incorrect perception of what sanctuary cities are. It's pure right wing meme fodder where anyone agreeing with it is a right wing partisan hack.

I want the executive branch to abide by the law. And the law says that asylum requests merit a hearing. 95% of the requests can be respected for all I care.

Maybe we can find a way to make allocating immigration judges sexy and tough. Like air commercials on Fox News between Tucker and Hannity where a immigration judge, blond with some cleavage showing, possibly an Ivanka look-a-like, slams her gavel dramatically and scream "ASYLUM NOT GRANTED!".

I wonder if that will sway our baby in cheif to do something pragmatic.
