Trump to declare national emergency to build border wall

Another hostage taking. He doesn't know how to negotiate, only how to gain leverage. Hopefully this one works out better than the time he shut down the government.

 

No, I don't think Trump could have manufactured this. But you're right in a sense, these caravans didn't start happening til he was in office. Well, as far as we know. There have been a lot of suggestions that the caravans have been funded by those who want to make Trump look bad and/or push the envelope of the US border/immigration system.

 

Typical mistake-in-chief playbook: create a crisis, then claim to fix it.

I think they started before he was in office but if the countries that these caravans are coming from weren't so money hungry and corrupt.

 

Yet another trump assault on the U.S. Constitution... this time, the 14th Amendment...

 

I think the weather has a lot to do with the increased illegal traffic. This is the perfect time to attempt this crime and hopefully traffic decreases as the weather heats up.

Obama didn’t have to be dishonest about his rationale, he didn’t have to call Mexicans rapists and criminals, and Obama didn’t scapegoat Mexico.

Trump’s rhetoric plays well with some folks but clearly isn’t looked on as favorably in the national spotlight. Look at the polling numbers on this issue.

It’s a catch 22, Trump wouldn’t haven’t been elected without his incendiary, xenophobic rhetoric but that’s also preventing him for doing much.

 

That whole close the border threat? Well, cynics might say it already helped trump by increasing numbers at the border, but...
