So Trump is decertifying Barack Obama's Iran deal. This will severely undermine the credibility of this deal at a minimum.

Of course it was widely discussed that this deal would not deter Iran from its nuclear or its terrorist goals at the time this was being discussed, but Obama and his crew insisted on going ahead anyway.

This marks yet another failure for for former-President Barack Obama. And in the same week that Obamacare is being gutted and converted over to Trumpcare.

What is left on Obama's legacy list? Not much and it is getting shorter by the day.

This is a supremely foolish and destabilizing move by a president who shows little grasp of nuance in foreign policy. Still waiting for a coherent argument from the other side in this thread to engage with.

Not failures at all, Obama has little to do with the failures of Trump.

You are correct it was widely discussed. Then it turned out that it did indeed hinder their progress to a nuclear weapon. That's why all of the experts told Trump that it was working.

So basically Trump who's presidency is extremely weak and has no power to get anything done has again simply pushed the issue to Congress (see DACA) - the deal remains in place and we have another campaign promise failure.

Obama was so naive to think Iran would change after the deal. Iran is now more aggressive in the middle east than ever before. Obama made a violent regime in Iran even stronger and the people of Iran will see no benefits from the deal only the mullahs that run the country.

Love the move by Trump. Trump doesn't bend knees to Iran. So refreshing to see this after 8 years of weak policies toward Iran.

Because, we now actually have eyes on them and can verify.

You have to make up alternative facts to support this.

I don't get why @MojoMan would make up things that are verifiably false like the Iran deal wasn't hampering the Iranian pursuit of nukes. We know that it has absolutely done that.

Because they live in a bubble where the truth is "fake news" and the lies they are told is what they should believe.

Let's just be real here, People support Trump for 1 of 3 reasons. Most support him because they are racist and Trump is enacting a white supremacist agenda. We know that from his hate of Obama and the leading the birther movement, his hate of BLM, his attack on minority NFL players protesting, his attacks on Muslims, his attacks on Mexicans, his ridiculous statements on Puerto Rico, his history of discrimination against blacks from his housing to his Twitter posts, his statements on Charlottesville, his refusal to first condemn David Duke and then claim he never heard of him, his new visa regulations, his attacks on Dreamers, the wall, and others. I mean, the body of evidence is there - people like him because he is putting White first. He's going to Make America White Again (MAWA).

The other 2 reasons is one for tax cuts or business subsidies, the other for his pro-gun, anti-abortion religious right crap (which strongly overlaps with the racist element).

That's it. No one supports him for anything but either they are racist, or they greedy, or they want to impose Mike Pence values on us all.

We can only hope that the SCOTUS over throws out gerrymandering, the Dems find a decent candidate, and that Trump fails to depress voter turnout.

Just as a reminder. There are sub plots to this story.

This is a cautionary tale of bringing someone into power with major financial ties to countries in the private sector. You can’t tell me the history here isn’t a factor is this nutcases decision making.

So why doesn't coward Trump just withdrawal from the deal since it's so bad?

You're a brained washed idiot, or you're smart and getting paid to do what you do. But I think you're too much of a moron to be that smart.

Essentially all the other members of the UN Security Council are saying to the US, " Nah, you are on your own on this one."
