Maybe because this was less publicized and many didn't know about it?
Even then, it had been in negotiation for months and every Cuban should've know this was bound to happen, neither was the policy discrimination in any way, as the open-border policy for Cubans was a unique case and set them above other nations.

This has absolutely nothing to do with this case and it also isn't unjust in any way, but guess you're just trying to distract?

I know, but that still doesn't have anything to do with this case? Feel free to open a thread for the Cuban issue, but stop distracting from the topic of this thread.

Going around claiming everyone is a liberal and distracting from Trump doesn't net you any points, you also didn't respond to people questioning the measures of this policy. Maybe stop posting if you don't want to discuss the topic itself?

    Last response.

Yes, I rally when I'm told, not when legal US residents can't get into the US on Sunday. Not when an outright ban is due to fear, hate and ignorance.

glad to see you dropped the 'Muslim ban' and now just use 'ban'. don't want to keep perpetuating that lie.

Fear is the reason for every immigration policy ever. No hate or ignorance is involved.its also easy to throw around the 'hate' word. If I was a jerk I would claim Obama did away with 'wet foot dry foot' because of his hate for Cubans, but i dont debate issues in such childish manners.

An immigration policy that denies thousands entry has no place in a thread about an immigration policy that denies thousands entry? ok

to what question do you refer?

Ok, lol, "libertarians" lol voting for Trump. Defend. First the Iraq War Debacle and now Trump needlessly pissing off the rest of the world. Why would a bright student from any of these countries or China etc. want to choose to come to the US. Two stupid nutjobs, Dubya and Trump who are going to hasten the decline of the American Empire.

According to White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, the ban could be just the beginning, and that other nations, including Afghanistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, could be added at any time by President Trump with the same restrictions.

Priebus also indicated that the “extreme vetting” warning about people entering the nation from Muslim countries would also apply to American citizens who had traveled to any of the banned nations, saying he figured most Americans would support the idea.

I just found out that all Trump did was go back to pre-Obama level of immigration vetting(only for these 7 countries) which makes me wonder why people are losing their ****. I don't remember them losing their **** with Bush or Clinton on this issue. Go look it up, it's the same level of immigration verification before Obama relaxed the rules.

The triggered folks are letting who's in charge affect how they feel about policy which means they can't be trusted. They are anti-Trump which means they probably won't even learn about the position or issue. If Trumps for, they are against. Like mindless robots. It's a shame because they will be chicken littled when we need real outrage.

I can't find what you're talking about. Link?

We had the same number of people in limbo in airports, overseas?

Maybe it was the sudden, sweeping implementation, without warning, that caused severe disruption to people's travel or in some cases their lives, that's part of the problem here.

LOL because it's not?? Obama signed a bill passed by congress that banned travel to the US without a visa, and extended stays of over 90 days. Trump's is an executive order that hasn't been reviewed by lawyers, foreign policy experts, secretary of defense, or anyone not named the white supremacist Steve Bannon. This executive order bans all immigration to the US from those 7 countries, even if you have a green card or visa and have lived here for 7 years. Apples to oranges. Go look it up.

Correct, it was the swift enactment that was more of an issue than the actual order itself. Bush had a full stop ban after 9/11 for 3 or 6 months, not sure, but obviously no one said anything. Jimmy Carter had almost identical policy with Iran (probably worse on the whole) that no one cared about. Obama himself banned Iraqi Visa for 6 months, again no one cared. The reason people are triggered is because they want Trump out and everything he does even it's similar to previous presidents will be the worse thing ever. Also, not helping is the media also wants him out so they are driving the fake narrative that it's a Muslim ban ignoring the fact that the most populous Muslim countries don't have any ban at all. Also, they say it's unprovoked but waiting until an attack occurred would be terrible too. This is a terror/high-risk immigration suspension that's not being reported as a Muslim ban. It's propaganda masked as news.

I will say that Trump screwed up prioritizing Christians as part of the policy. I could understand the logic but it's shortsighted and inflammatory.

No it's Red Delicious and Granny Smith's we're comparing here. They are the same thing with only small differences.

Yeah, because in Bush's, Carter's and Obama's cases there was actual evidence provided about why they posed a specific threat, and were in reaction to real events that occurred.

None of that applies to Trump.
