Just some history.

The SEC and FTC were designed to be independent due to historical events demanding unbiased oversight. The SEC was established after the 1929 stock market crash and the Great Depression, where political influence over market regulations was seen as a key factor in the economic collapse. The FTC was created in 1914 to ensure fair competition and prevent monopolies, an area where political interference was seen as harming consumers.

Who wants to return to the days of market manipulation and monopolies? Who wants political pressure from billionaires? This administration, with its record number of very wealthy individuals, should give everyone pause as to why this is happening now.

It's hard to understand how people can be so easily willing to be manipulated by those wannabe oligarchs, that they will let all this happen before their eyes, and try and come up with reasons to how it makes their lives better. Cult!

This is a good test. If you can't explain what you do and you truly think you bring value, ask your manager to help. And if they can't, perhaps you really don't have value.

You and I know their excuses and reasoning behind the stuff they do is filled with lies, and BS, but that is going to be the way things are done from now on.
