A message of moderation is a shrewd political move from Trump/his campaign. He already has his rabid base with rhetoric he’s been hammering the last 9 years. He won’t get any new voters with doubling down on that. He can get some new voters with a message of moderation. He seems like has been moderating to some degree the last few months. He didn’t hammer Biden all too terribly in that debate. He came off as surprisingly restrained and measured.

In all honesty he survived a gunshot like he was a movie character from FIGHT CLUB or 300 (spear to the face) that literally came millimeters from REAL damage . I think most of us would have some spiritual feeling after the fact, and if he can be a better person , I'm all for it

Let's be fair. If someone tied up trump and kept him alive for a month, it would do the world a service. However that said, in no way do I condone violence or try to upend the will of the people, and that includes pressuring a sitting president not to run, on up to a full on party coup.
