Well said. All joking aside I think that you're reasonable. I'd have a beer with most of the posters here.
Okay - I don’t live in Israel, I don’t agree with Israel’s current government and don’t really agree with a lot of the decisions they have made. They are way down on my list of concerns. Would gladly support completely cutting off aid to Israel.
As I said - their enemies' main target are the USA. One could choose to desert an ally that is under attack by the same people whose ultimate goal it is to destroy you, but it would be foolish.
Oh... lol. You're one of those "a child isn't a child until birth" people. Makes sense because you also believe a man can be woman if "he/she" feels he is. People can be liable for the death/injury of a mother *and* her unborn child. And I doubt 60% of people believe an 8-month old fetus is cool to be terminated.... and that before this lazy research. Spoiler https://news.gallup.com/poll/321143/americans-stand-abortion.aspx WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Most Americans continue to believe abortion should be legal in at least some situations. The majority also disagree with the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, which returned discretion over the legality of abortion to the states. At the same time, majorities think second- and third-trimester abortions should generally not be legal. Broad Views on the Legality of Abortion According to Gallup's May 2024 update on Americans' abortion views, 35% believe abortion should be legal "under any circumstances," 50% say it should be legal “only under certain circumstances,” and 12% say it should be “illegal in all circumstances.”
The extremist position, typical of religious zealots, is that conception is equivalent to a child. You know nothing about my beliefs. I do not believe that the start of conception is equivalent to a child. I’m against abortion but do not push my personal beliefs onto anyone. The data is from Pew. I repeat what I stated before: "Over 60% say abortion should be legal in all or most cases. This is driven by 54% who believe the decision about abortion should belong solely to the pregnant woman, with another 19% somewhat agreeing. See Pew for data." You interpret this as 60% believing that an 8-month-old fetus can be terminated willy nilly and it's all cool. I interpret it as 60% believing the state should not be involved at all and that women should be trusted. I think it's pretty illogical and ludicrous to think that women would carry a fetus to 8 months and then terminate it.
I asked you directly, "at any point during pregnancy?" Instead of saying anything close to disagreeing with "any point", you chose to double down with Pew. Why did you choose to be difficult/coy after I asked the direct question? By doing so, you made it easy for certain interpretations to be made. ____ If you believe the state shouldn't be involved in the mother's decision, do you also believe the state should remain uninvolved with welfare or supplying funds for abortion? That's another direct question. ___ It doesn't take a religious zealot to understand a baby is a baby upon conception (or, soon thereafter). It's basic biology. If you believe otherwise, then you should also believe it is moral and/or "no harm, no foul" if a mother smokes cigarettes and drinks boxed wine throughout her pregnancy (or, up until 8 months). Do you believe mother's should be drinking/drugging throughout pregnancy since the baby isn't a baby upon conception? ^^^That's another direct question. How many weeks pregnant before the law includes an unborn child as an additional victim in a criminal charge? ^^Direct question ____ And let's not play the woke, high horse narrative. BOTH sides are pushing their beliefs to the other side. There are many ways to avoid pregnancy in the first place.
This isn’t just a democrat problem… this same poll shows that 52% of Republicans believe that Harris had something to do with the assassination attempts on Trump. The polarization in the USA right now is its biggest problem.
Rasmussen, a leading question and taking the answer out of context. Par for the course from the guy who bussed people to the Jan 6 insurrection.
Imagine what the Republicans would poll if it was Biden or Harris on the receiving end. Don't sit there and tell me with a straight face it wouldn't be a horrible result.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive...s/results-new-jersey-us-house-10-special.html New Jersey special election results, the polls had it much lower as a result.....this is why some believe that a lot of women are telling their husband Trump but when the curtain closes, they vote Harris. I am sure Trump will pull any stunt to try to gain sympathy, but people are tired of his BS and are remembering what a **** HOLE President he was the first time around. DD
