How is it a stretch? The rhetoric and imagery cited is eerily similar. In both cases critics of the protest called the protesters "spoiled children", talked about how much damage they were doing and that authorities, even ones not from HK needed to step in to quell the "riot".

First off I don't agree with attacking the courthouse but leaving that aside as far as I can tell "Antifa" aren't planting a bomb in the basement with a timer to go off while the building is occupied.

 

The 168 people killed, including 19 children in day care is a good place to start.

It’s not okay. It’s a crime. Process it as a crime if that happen.

What’s also not okay is NOT processing it as a crime.

The use of unmarked and unaccountable secret police is NOT okay against someone that killed ~160 people. That didn’t happen. But that is now happening against who knows who. A fed judge had to order the fed gov to stop it- don’t arrest or use force against people that reasonably looks like they are observers or journalists. DoJ internal watchdog has also started an internal investigation on the use of this force.
