I’ve seen Glenwald on Twitter trying to claim Trump did the shakeup to remove troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. 1)Why now...unless it would be to win another election in 2024...or force conflicts to happen that would likely make Biden look bad in Trump’s view? 2) With little to no warning...that would go poorly just as 3) the last time he removed troops quickly and without warning in Syria where we lost our close allies and were forced to send troops back in. He might be doing it, but my guess is it would be a “Hey, look over here” distraction as he attempts to cover up intel...which is what many experts believe he’s doing.
