Some of you may have noticed that for the last several years I've never capitalized his last name or referred to him with the "P" word. The title of this thread is the one exception. Since 2016, I've never believed that he holds the office legitimately. I still don't.
In classic irony, the White House is still showing it's incompetence with Trump on the DL. That video, and them trying to pass it off as from today, is more telling of his health than anything there said today. I'm on vacation this week. I think there is a better possibility than not that Pence will be running the country by time I go back to work. And I don't believe his O2 sats are that good. That's essentially the same as someone who is totally healthy walking around and not sick.
This is insane if true (filmed yesterday). This White House is so bad when lying you’d think they’d be better at it by now. Also the cough edit is really something. When I saw the video I thought he swallowed his puke or something. I remember thinking how weird that looked.
The fact that Pence isn’t announced as a temporary commander is also a sign of the WH incompetence. If we know he’s in this bad of shape from reading the tea leaves all of our adversaries do as well. We are very vulnerable right now because there would see to be no chain of command and chaos.
I joked with my wife that they’d film random videos of Trump to post on social media just in case they had to hide his death for a month.
the Trump administration stopped trying long ago...their attempt to convey lies as truth are way below amateur level they really believe that the public is as dumb as their cult...they live in some fantasy world the deplorables see that video and believe 100% that Trump is in excellent condition...they fully believe whatever the WH is saying

I'm glad that he was able to give a short talk to the nation. Regardless of what I might think of him, it's important to give the world a sense that our "ship of state" isn't rudderless. Still, it is early days. He has always known how dangerous Covid-19 is, regardless of his public comments, and I'm sure he's thinking of that now. I've had "walking pneumonia" before, and it was hell. I don't wish that on anyone. A bad case of this virus, and he certainly falls in the high risk category, is far worse than that. Mr trump is lucky that he has access to the very best medical care, unlike so many Americans suffering from Covid-19. With luck and that high level of care, he will pull through this, unlike his over two hundred thousand fellow citizens who did not.
