I can’t even imagine the height of hypocrisy we are about to see when it inevitably comes out that Trump paid a woman off to have an abortion. There are a lot of people who think that fat RNC guy who paid 1.6 million for an abortion with the playboy model might actually be Trump himself with that guy covering for him, but most in the media seem to be too scared to go there with that rumor. There has been no bigger issue for the Evangical Right in the past 30 years than abortion. I just don’t know how poltically that news will affect Trump and if it doesn’t how the Evangelical movement survives that bumper sticker following them around forever.
What I am pretending? The tax return issue is stupid Have you ever read a candidate's tax returns? GWB is an evangelical. God told him Saddam had nukes. The reason I didn't think evangelicals defended him is because he doesn't claim to be one or at least advertise it. He doesn't talk about religion much at all and you would think that would be refreshing to people in this thread railing on evangelicals.
You stand perpetually corrected. It's curious how much you continue rambling on and on about things you really don't grasp very well. You think people want to see his tax returns to confirm he's paying his taxes? Lol
I'm saying it's a stupid issue. And yes the number one stupid question is *what's he hiding" Rachel Maddow exposed him taking a billion dollar charge. You think there are worse things?
“Well ,I’m not a crook.” Turns out he was a huge crook. After that, every presidential candidates releases years of their past tax returns (to show they aren’t a crook). It’s not important if not being a crook isn’t important. To most American, I’m sure that’s still important for a president.
See, here is yet another example of posting things that you either simply don't know or you are purposely posting falsehoods. trump created an Evangelical Council during his campaign to attract support. He later made claim to being the first president to create a "faith initiative" trump has made a number of odd and disengious claims, including: And the numerous photo ops, like: Yet it is often said God judges man by his deeds (Romans 2:6-11) and not by his words. trump is not a regular church goer, struggled to identify a church he attended and even the church he later named said, no, not really:
He didn't do anything illegal You are proving my point people wouldnt know what they were looking at if did have access to his returns Trump deals in expensive real estate. It's obviously related to that
Again, either ignorance or willful ignorance seems to drive your posting. A simple google search will bring up how often trump refers to God in speeches. And even how often he tweets about God: Just this past week: It appears its quite pointless continuing this discussion with you.
They didn’t have to. They certainly didn’t have to choose a morally corrupt fake-Christian character during the republican primary. That’s a shock to me.
Who said illegal? We said crook. People care about if the president is a crook, or at least they used to.
How is that different from any other President mentioning God in a speech. He is not an evangelical. I didn't say he was an atheist GWB touted being born again.
So crook doesn't imply illegal? Nixon is the only President to resign. Trump hasn't done anything to force himself to resign? Why are you using that quote?
It's pretty simple: "We don't care about his personal life. He's a tool to stop abortion. It's for the greater good."
You can do things legally and still be a crook. You can do things illegally and also be a crook. Reminder - we aren't talking about resignation. We WERE talking about taxes and your statement that it's a stupid issue. That quote - "I'm not a crook"... I don't blame you for not understanding the origin of it. It gets tied in with watergate and that became the popular flashy statement associated with Watergate. But the original statement from Nixon was mostly dealing with his taxes. The fully quote is "But in all of my years of public life, I have never profited - never profited from public service. I've earned every cent. And in all of my years of public life, I have never obstructed justice. ...because people have got to know whether or not their president is a crook. Well, I'm not a crook. I've earned everything I've got."
