It's such an ugly look, man. Dispatching federal govt into our cities. We look like a 3rd world country. Nobody wants to see that **** (and they don't want to be doing it).

The chatter has been out there, Trump wants to take over DC and (conspiracy theory) make some sort of unregulated corporate city on behalf of Peter Thiel (who is bribing him).

Trump proved with his shutting down of the border that lawlessness is a choice. Dems have virtually total control of all the large crime-ridden cities in the country.

DC is unique in that there is a legal mechanism for federal jurisdiction, an opportunity for Rs to show how they would use power.

If Trump achieves in DC what he's done at the southern border, it will be politically dangerous for Dems, in the same way South Korea or West Berlin show a clear contrast.

 

What a dumbass response like usual spinning propaganda. The states with the highest crime are mostly all republican. LA/AR/TN/AL/SC/MT all have higher crime rates and all have republican governors.

All MAGA know how to do is spin propaganda in favor of worshipping their cult leader.

The takeaway from this chart shouldn't be that Washington DC is a lawless hellhole. It should be that many American cities have higher murder rates than foreign cities most Americans assume are crime ridden.

The entire state of Mississippi and Louisiana would've gone ahead of Bogota by murder rate.

Alabama, New Mexico, Missouri, Arkansas, South Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, and Alaska would be ahead of Mexico City.

As one of Clutchfans' resident posters on the ground in the DMV let me tell you that I was terrified when I took my daughter to the zoo a couple of weeks ago. It was even worse when we got dinner in Adams Morgan after visiting some friends at a playground. Don't even get me started on the war zone I had to traverse in Navy Yard to get to the Austin FC game at Audi Field last month.

You all will be shocked to hear that Trump made no mention of sending the military to Houston Texas. Looks like only liberal cities like Chicago and San Fran will get to enjoy the pleasure of being raided by the marines and ice.

This is so popular and necessary that you have to wonder the political ramifications when libs are the thankful ones who get saved by the messiah when Texas cities who normally vote MAGA get denied the grace and liberation from all the crime and poverty.
