Are you implying that the U.S. is deterred by terrorist acts?

Haven't we already shown that we are willing to spend trillions and bomb many innocent people to stop the boogieman of "terrorism"?

At some point we have to recognize that our disruptive policies and tactics are undermining our goals for stability.

The ONLY way that works is if you are willing to completely wipe out a culture and that means killing EVERYONE like the Romans did.

Otherwise, you have to beat them culturally, and raise up their standard of living to where they don't want to terrorize or sacrifice their life for some stupid cause.

Most of the ISIS members are not hard core religious fanatics, but there is no other work so they joined to get paid.

The USA has shown that it can kill terrorists, civilians, invade nations, remove leaders of nations and bomb the hell out of people which is a far more vicious response. It hasn't been a deterrent in the slightest and has seemingly only served to increase their ranks.

As a supposedly moral nation we shouldn't allow torture.

As an interrogation technique it is a waste and unnecessary. Yes the tortured person will tell you everything they know. They also tell you exactly what they think you want to hear whether it's true or not. So you then have to waste resources and manpower to verify what they've told people.

Committing war crimes is something of which everyone should be ashamed.

Stealing oil, any other resource, and torture are all war crimes. Targeting civilians which Trump has also advocated is a war crime as well. It makes America lose standing, and isn't efficient. In addition we need a leg on which to stand in order to make sure that we can try and prevent our soldiers from being tortured.

    Memo to POTUS:
If you pull out their fingernails, it will work better than waterboarding.

Do you think a 15 year old redditor would also be a 'wild card' in a 'good' way in terms of military strategy as President because that pretty much the extent of his nuance regarding the matter so...
Anyways, remember today 5 years from now when **** heads like ipaman advocated torture.
