The decision to bomb or not bomb Iran under the circumstances was a political one - and one where there are reasonable positions on both sides. I am not going to criticize them for bombing Iran when there was a window to do so. Hegseth was in the national guard, but was in Iraq and Afghanistan for a total of about two years. He did see active resistance at one point, so it is possible he saw some bad things - just like the many other soldiers that served there. His behavior while drinking shouldn't be excused though - including a woman claiming he raped her. I have no idea if he is or isn't. He is an alpha male war fighter? He has less actual war service for his job than any of the people that the Democrats or Republicans had in that position in recent memory. He had far more time working as a media personality, which is largely what he has been. God fearing family man? Based on what? His string of failed marriages, infidelity, rape allegations? He hasn't really taken accountability for any of his actions. His own mother was ashamed of him.
Donald Trump was never the darling of the Democratic Party. He voted for and supported Democratic candidates off and on, but he was a business man and mogul.
I was going to answer verything in this post, but I will ony say 3 things. 1. Keeping Iran from getting a Nuke should be something every American should be on board with. Death to America isn't just a slogan to these people. 2. Yes it was political, but I would rather error on the side of if they're close to getting a Nuke then I'm OK with Bombing them. If I'm wrong then so be it. (For the record I believe Israel had good intel) 3.I believe in people who are troubled but find god (Have a religious experience or near death experience say like Trump had) are changed for the better. Many disagree with my way of thinking, but I've experienced this in my life. I'm far from perfect but it made a huge difference in the way I look at things in my life. I can certainly see this in Hegseth after some of the things he's seen although I could be wrong.
He went to and donated to Hilary and other Dems. On Oprah she asked him if he wanted to run for POTUS. He said no. If he wasn't a darling of the Dems Oprah would have never allowed him on her show. It would be like The View allowing Trump on their show.
Nope, I'm just not lying to myself like you. Somebody that doesn't want elitists in control doesn't vote them into office.
And it's being run like a business, at least as much as the career politicians on both sides of the isle will let it be Like I said, you've got a terrible case of class envy coupled with aan even worse case of TDS. I mean being against cutting waste/ fraud/corruption from the federal government. SMH
The mission was pretty successes. But he isn't qualified. He couldn't answer questions about if he would refuse an order from the president to shoot protesters. He leaked all kinds of info. And doesn't have the experience in leadership to handle the position.
The country is not a business. The goal of a business is to be profitable. The goal of a country is to look after its citizens, uphold the constitution, and provide services to meet the basic needs of citizens that are disadvantaged to meet those needs. There is very little common ground.
Trump was never the darling of the Democratic party. The most you could say is that he attended some events and was a Democrat.
Yeah your socialist way of thinking is why this country is in trillions of dollars in debt. When this country was founded you stood on your own or you didn't. There was no welfare state or Social Security. There damned sure wasn't people coming over here free loading off of the system.
