I certainly wouldn't say he's on his best behavior. The reason his favorability is so high is because people right now aren't paying attention, and nobody knows who the F Pete Hegseth is nor do they care. They should care, but they don't. I'll admit that I haven't watched more than 5 minutes of MSM "news" since the election. Like many I needed a break after the past well.... 9 years. That being said I'm here because it's Rockets season, and there's alot to talk about there, so you take a peak over here where you really shouldn't. I hear things out in the ether about what Trump is doing, but if I didn't know any better like most American's don't, I would be like.... "who the Fck is Pete Hegseth, and why do I care about his tattoos... sounds like cancel culture woke stuff... back to College Gameday!!" However yes in 12 months when it's scandal after scandal with the military because it's run by an incompetent loser... yeah the "why do I care about Pete Hegseth" example could change the opinion of many of the people who right now don't give a damn, and just want to watch that douchebag former kicker on ESPN who wears a belt buckle and can't stop rubbing his triceps. Trump's approval rating typically ebs and flows along with how much American's are paying attention. The more he's in the ether and in people's living rooms, the more they hate him. If he's just in the background, and you are only hearing about him from Aaron Rogers or Joe Rogan... yeah he's fine. Can he be hidden like that when he's actually the president, and sh$t is going down???... we'll see how ignorant American's want to be in a few months.

I wonder why the average Joe really thinks that the 19 billionaires and counting in Trump's second term have the interests of the majority of Americans in mind when it comes to policies in the next 4 years. 19 Trump loyalists, with a net worth of over $380 billion, which exceeds the wealth of the GDP of over 172 countries just doesn't give me hope for the middle class and poor in our country when decisions are made in the future.
There are some suckers for sure in America but the majority of Trumpers believe that these billionaires do have their political interests in mind so that’s worth giving up their own self economic and social freedoms. People like we see here are addicted to the feeling that winning politically gives them. It’s a drug that medicates the gaping pit that many Americans especially men feel in their lives. These folks have been led to believe people like you, me, immigrants, and dem money handlers behind the scenes are the reason that their lives aren’t fulfilling. That’s why I’ve sort of given up with the whole civility thing. I can’t do anything to make you more fulfilled and I’m sorry that American life has made you angry but that’s not my fault and I don’t owe you any of my empathy when you have such disdain for people like me. The only thing I can do is get out of the way and let them touch that hot stove to get burnt so bad you maybe wake up…. But not counting on it. We likely won’t see societal change until another generation comes in and can’t stand their miserable parents and decide to go in the opposite direction. Until then we are going to be a corrupt oligarchy the likes the world has never seen and the middle class is going to get squeezed to death economically. And that was a choice by MAGA voters who knew damn well what they were voting for but they did it because it makes them feel good to blame liberals because their lives suck. When in reality the real reason is because of the greed of the billionaire class whom they think are their allies right now because they throw that drug of demonization of liberals at them and they eat it up like animals.
Also these maga people don’t realize that “cancel culture” only exists because these greedy billionaires the past 10 years realized the buying power of liberal people around the globe and wanted to cater to that buying power. The thing you are most upset about (wokism) is only a thing because these billionaires you think are your allies only wanted to make more money and thought liberals were better customers than you.
