Same here. Been a good 4 years financially. Can't say that for everybody, but definitely has been good to me despite going through a divorce.
I also had a very financially successful four years thanks to the Biden administration...since I practice bankruptcy law he tanked the economy so badly businesses needed my services in droves.
poor marketing. Right now the markets are probably at their peak because of the Trump tariff madness and the uncertainty he is creating with immigration. In order to keep this country white he'll tank the economy. Labor shortage is real and a big part of what will drive inflation. Tariffs will aggravate that as will cutting taxes for the rich again throwing more money into the system
List of Very Awful Democrat Policies Foreign policy -- provoked the war in Ukraine; gave money to Iran to start trouble Tax policy - their answer to every problem is higher taxes Energy policy - they attempt to restrict leasing/permitting and constrict supply; which forces up prices. Climate change policy imposes costs on working class people in the form of higher prices. Voting Integrity: They oppose voter ID and resist every attempt at restoring integrity to the voting process Transgender Madness: Crossdressing does not earn you new rights and special privileges Legal System Abuses: The Courts are not there to harass, bankrupt, and imprison your political opponents using manufactured crimes, novel legal theories, biased jury pools, and corrupt and conflicted judges. Democracy: ELECTED officials, not lifelong, unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats should make decisions Fiscal Policy: Government spending ballooned to never-before-seen levels which DIRECTLY led to runaway inflation Border policy: Open borders is a national security failure
I think you left out the immigration policy of distributing Arby's gift cards to every illegal migrant at the border

The EPA revealed its latest efforts in December by giving the green light to California’s ban on the sale of new gasoline-powered cars as well as mandates intended to kill diesel trucks. Although federal law prohibits states from making such rules, the EPA decided to approve them anyway via waivers. President-elect Trump has promised to end electric-vehicle mandates on day one of his administration. But rolling back EPA waivers through the administrative process would be slow and laborious. Doing it through the conventional legislative route would require 60 Senate votes to overcome a filibuster. A better solution is to use the Congressional Review Act, which calls on federal agencies to send “rules” of “general applicability” to Congress. If lawmakers don’t like a particular rule, they have 60 days to introduce a resolution of disapproval, which needs only to clear the House and pass the Senate with a simple majority—no filibuster. If the president signs the resolution, the regulation is repealed. Most of President Biden’s marquee regulations were published months ago to avoid the Congressional Review Act’s 60-day dragnet. Not these EPA waivers. The EPA has refused to send them over to Congress, claiming that they aren’t subject to review because they are “particular” to California. EPA waivers likely to have a multibillion-dollar effect on the national economy aren’t, according to agency bureaucrats, rules of “general applicability.” Rather, they are a form of “licensing” akin to a permit for cattle to graze on federal land or a broadcast license. Conveniently for the Biden administration, the comptroller general—an Obama appointee serving a 15-year term who advises Congress on these matters—agrees with this delineation. But hold on. Licensing is defined by federal law to grant a “statutory exemption or other form of permission,” and the EPA’s waivers certainly meet this definition: They purport to give California Gov. Gavin Newsom a license to kill the internal-combustion engine. These waivers, however, do far more. Although the law authorizes only California to apply for a waiver, other states can then “adopt and enforce” standards “identical to the California standards for which a waiver has been granted” without further action from the EPA. And compliance with California’s rules is enough for auto manufacturers to satisfy the agency, creating pressure for the whole nation to fall in line. For this reason, the EPA has long said that its waivers have “nationwide scope or effect.” California’s rule banning gasoline cars includes detailed provisions on how compliance credits can be pooled and traded across states, creating a nationwide scheme to subsidize electric cars on the backs of gasoline-car buyers. There’s nothing “particular” about that. The truth is that the EPA’s waiver decisions are the duck-billed platypus of administrative law, with some elements from rules and some from licenses, with both a state-specific focus and an unquestioned nationwide effect. In the past, the precise taxonomy of EPA waivers was of more interest to scholars than lawmakers, but these latest approvals are different. A majority of Americans in both parties don’t support electric-vehicle mandates. And the Biden administration’s lame-duck refusal even to submit the question to Congress appears calculated to avoid democratic accountability following a historic loss at the polls. more at the link

I work in the restaurant industry (on the equipment side). Sales have been fantastic since absolutely tanking in 2020. I'm getting old...who was still in charge that year? Lots of restaurants opening (despite what many might think or have heard reported). Went through one of those, too. And then got remarried. I've personally very much enjoyed the last 4 years.
