**** it, let's pack the courts. I am tired of attempting to play nice with the other side.

Democrats just need a full sweep and then pack the court. There’s nothing unconstitutional about it....

AND it would reflect the opinions of the majority of Americans, where the Democratic president is candidate has won the popular vote every year since 1992 except for 2004.

the situation is the same in the senate and house, where the majority of the American public is not represented because of gerrymandering.

there seems to have been an attempt by trump to say “but he’ll pack the court!!”

YES! Hopefully. That’s what most Democrats want. We represent the majority of America.

this is almost thing number one for Democrats to do for me once they sweep the elections. Dealing with covid more effectively of course. But packing the courts should be immediate. Anything that can reverse the gerrymandering, eliminate $$ from politics and align our government more closely with the actually opinions of the majority of Americans.

if the Dems don’t pack the courts, while having a full sweep (if they do control executive and legislative branches completely), it will be a complete failure to me.

This makes absolutely no sense. Are you accusing Republicans of gerrymandering blue districts in blue states? And last I checked, blue has a pretty big lead in the house.

42% of the country doesnt vote. That is your biggest chunk of people who are not represented.

Conservatives and Republicans day of reckoning will be November 3d. They will pay when they lose the Presidency and Senate.

But wouldn't voter turnout be higher if folks though their votes mattered vs being irrelevant in so many cases?

Poor republicans, their celebration will only last a week, the Democrats celebration will last months/years.

Well, if nothing else, I'm pretty sure one mother-of-seven professor from Notre Dame is pretty stoked. LOL.

But seriously, a good number of American women will approve of this. Not a majority, at all.

Roberts either gets with the program or we are going to see a lot of assignments handed out by Clarence Thomas

Very true! McConnell and trump have managed to install the least qualified Justice to the Supreme Court in modern history.

In my humble opinion, of course.

And right on queue, the Supreme Court overrules a lower court ruling that allowed ballots to arrive after election day in Wisconsin. However, that's not the surprising part.

The crazy part is that in Kavanaugh's concurrence, he said that elections should be counted by election day and that courts can intervene to ensure a count by election day. Essentially, he's arguing that the Supreme Court can intervene and overrule state courts on ballot counts because in his words late arriving ballots will destabilize an election. Apparently according to Kavanaugh and Gorsuch the Supreme Court can arbitrarily decide that all ballots have to be decided by election day even if a state court allows ballots to be counted afterwards. God help us if this election is close because Kavanaugh is telegraghing that he's ready to intervene in the election and is ready to throw out mail in ballots.

Court reform better happen quickly regardless. This problem isn't going away.

If they decide the same thing for PA and Biden still wins, I’m all for packing the courts.

This is why I tell people to vote in person. several people I know selected to mail in/drop box because they were too lazy to go in and vote in person. (And COVID is not a valid excuse with these people)
