Except Dershowitz and others keep on forgetting that Giuliani and others weren't arguing about Trump's innocence in front of Four Seasons Landscaping. They were arguing that Trump won the election and were actively involved in a scheme to undermine the certification of the election. This is again what I keep on bringing up that so many lawyers are abandoning ethics to mislead and do frankly illegal things to please their clients.
Agreed. I think it's not so complicated. Lawyers aren't allowed to break the law. Ethics violations are still in play when attorneys violate a code of ethics. It doesn't have to be more complicated than that.
One sign of hope though is that several of these lawyers including Giuliani are facing disbarment and other sanctions. They should never be allowed to practice law again.
