An appointee to be a federal judge not knowing what a motion in lamine is is both incredible and pathetic at the same time. I'm not even a lawyer and I'm familiar with the term. On top of that, how do you not even do basic research on something like this for a confirmation hearing? The worst part is that all these Republican senators will grill him and make him look like the amateur that he is and they'll still likely confirm him.
