Just because you don't hear it doesn't mean it doesn't work.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We need to be on the right side of history: add the question.

It is important information. The question is not racist. It may take another administration to want it to realize that. Trump bad.

People like to through out a lot of accusations. If someone is going to make the accusation that the question is racist, then they need to explain exactly how asking a question that does not involve race, is racist? The short answer is that it’s not racist.

Why are they afraid of the question? They are afraid because they think by identifying who is here illegally that they will loose seats in the House and delegates in the Electoral College. That is the single reason that Democrats are opposed to the question.

Funny that Democrats are so passionate about foreign interference in our elections but at the same time want to use foreigners as a tool to impact power within our government.

How many times do you have to be corrected? The U.S. Supreme Court already shot down trump's reasons for wanting the question added to the census.

btw, the U.S. Constitution requires the census and specifically requires the counting of "persons" not citizens. So if you or trump have an issue with counting non-citizens you should take it up with the Constitution.

From the U.S. Census web site:
This fact sheet will address any other question: https://advancingjustice-aajc.org/s...hs re Citizenship Question Final 6.6.2018.pdf

I don't think anyone's afraid of the question but more so the ramifications of it. The constitution says to count everyone, but illegal immigrants probably wouldn't fill it out if the question is added, hell I doubt they would even if it wasn't. This is just politics for both Democrats and Republicans. The more people counted tends to benefits Dems and the less people counted benefits the GOP.

You talk about foreign interference like it doesn't exist. You sound a lot like someone else on that matter. The problem is until both sides are ready to compromise and work together this country will keep going down the shitter.

There shouldn’t be a compromise on this question. Because someone doesn’t want to answer or because they refuse to answer is not a reason not to ask the question.

You are one hundred percent right, this is politics. And it’s not right for the politics of our country to be that heavily influenced buy foreigners, particularly if those foreigners are here illegally.

Count everyone but identify who are legal citizens and who are guests (here legally or illegally). It’s the right thing to do.

We shouldn't need to compromise on this... the U.S. Constitution clearly instructs us on what should be done... have a census of all *persons* in the country. Which is what we currently do.

And if you believe current Census staff, there are better tools to determine citizens in the country if that is truly needed.

Couldn't you have used larger images for FDR and Lincoln? ;-)

FDR's most controversial executive order was issued to intern 117,000 Japanese Americans in concentration camps located in several "relocation centers." It was ordered not long after Pearl Harbor with the outbreak of WWII. A lawsuit was filed with the Supreme Court during the war, and the court waited 2 years to make a ruling. They ruled the internment camps unconstitutional in 1945, and the last was closed in March of 1946. The camps were not created despite a ruling of the Supreme Court. The court, as I pointed out, waited 2 years to rule on the case. Essentially waited until the war had ended. This is not comparable at all to what trump has been doing, and certainly not comparable to what trump is attempting to do now.

As for President Lincoln? His executive orders can't seriously be compared to what trump is attempting to do. The country was in the midst of a civil war. I don't know where you found these two comparisons, crash, but they are leading you badly astray, in my humble opinion.

Truly amazing how trump supporters either don't know U.S. history or opt to lie about it (I will let the reader choose)...

LOL, sorry Deck, I should have used smaller images.

I just did a google search to find out if other presidents had used an Executive Order in defiance of a SCOTUS ruling. I was just curious if Trump was setting precedence or not.
